21/6/2013 12:11 | Simple question, hope there is a simple answer. If I sell my FGP shares today can I still take up the full rights I have been allocated? Thx | batham1
21/6/2013 12:01 | Orbis Investment Management has now increased its stake to over 9% It seems that they see the current low FGP shareprice as offering value Extract from Orbis website: Is Orbis a "value" manager? Our approach is to identify equities with prices that are well below what we perceive to be the intrinsic value of the company. This results in a value orientation, however we do not limit our selected equities to only those that would be defined as value stocks based on their current financial ratios. This is because we seek companies with attractive growth prospects and our expectations of such growth meaningfully affect our assessment of a company's intrinsic value. | winston270
21/6/2013 11:50 | Dr Biotech, Weakening of oil prices will have little or no impact on the fortunes of First Group as First & all other major transport groups hedge the majority of their fuel requirements a year or two in advance so they can fix the price that they are paying for it. Additionally, due to the quantities they buy, FGP will pay a lot less than the current market rates for oil | winston270
21/6/2013 11:42 | The oil price has weakened a bit recently. Would obviously help a lot here thought its not help my shares in PMO... | dr biotech
21/6/2013 10:42 | Is this for real or just phantom pregnancy dog, woof woof slaterlpj | hassani2
21/6/2013 09:17 | You would hope upwards, back to the theoretical ex rights when the RI was announced. But I suppose that's dreaming a little too positively. | slaterlpj
21/6/2013 09:15 | Many thanks for the clarification. | kluk069
21/6/2013 07:29 | Theoretically the price would be the same. In reality they will announce the take up of the RI and that will probably have some influence on the share price | dr biotech
21/6/2013 05:50 | Not a maths expert so with a theoretical unchanged open on the 26th after the RI would the share price also remain the same, or what would be the difference? | kluk069
20/6/2013 17:28 | Anyway, I suppose a 0p change on the day, when the FTSE is 186 points down is almost positive. Be interesting to see if I still have the FGPN shares in my portfolio on Mon | robertfaulkner
20/6/2013 16:44 | Something sticking you to this board then pyueck? Thought you were leaving? Stupid post yesterday. "I can't even be bothered with this board any more." -- pyueck! Stupid post of the day today. "Stupid posts today:" -- pyueck! Very informed. Why not say something useful instead of slagging people off? I asked for an opinion, not a prediction! | slaterlpj

20/6/2013 16:10 | Stupid posts today: 'sell! you should be buying' - Great analysis 'In the opinion of those with experience of past RI's. Does the ord share price tend to rise or fall as the Rights Issue comes to a close? So with what's known about FGP today, is it likely that the fgp share price will rise or fall as the 25th approaches?' - How are people expected to answer this, nobody knows what it will do in the next 5 days! 'I'm gonna wait till it hits 9p. Sheila told me last night that it is a wise decision. Hope this helps'- If you don't like the share fine, but your analysis is awful. Why buy at 9p, if you think it's screwed why would you waste money at 9p? | pyueck
20/6/2013 15:41 | sell! you should be buying | y1phr
20/6/2013 15:36 | WARNING. YOU PROBABLY CANNOT SELL THE FGPN RIGHTS AFTER FRIDAY THE 21ST OF JUNE. According to Hargreaves Landsdown Corporate actions dept, and another local broker I just spoke with, THERE WILL BE NO MARKET IN WHICH TO SELL YOUR RIGHTS after the close of business on FRIDAY 21st JUNE. This is because the MM's need the 24th and 25th for registering the stock etc. Can anyone confirm or refute this? | slaterlpj
20/6/2013 14:21 | Sanks is the new Monty of Barc's thread, every time he says 9p we get a rise. Over 100p would be good start | robertfaulkner
20/6/2013 12:02 | I see that UBS are back in buying again. I'll try again for a sensible answer. In the opinion of those with experience of past RI's. Does the ord share price tend to rise or fall as the Rights Issue comes to a close? So with what's known about FGP today, is it likely that the fgp share price will rise or fall as the 25th approaches? | slaterlpj
