Away in the far east Boff so can't do. Seems to have settled around 39/40p as expected.

b2 they're very indebted and i guess under pressure to sell some of the crown jewels. Don't know anything about the business(i never looked in detail as the debt was too big) but obviously can't raise funds by the look of it.

Boff that's terrible, aleman i can't believe someone of your intellect would know such stuff:-)) My sheltered life!!

I think those that bought in up to 40p are probably locking in their profits and maybe a few stop losses triggered too. Patience guys.

Aleman igr on the move today too.

Well, another chance to buy at 40p, will it go lower though or meet resistance here?

For those that haven't a clue what Boff is on about (I'm not sure if Boff changed the lyrics deliberately or not):

I think it was one of those daft songs John Peel used to play from time to time. I think it may even have charted briefly.

Institutions often have a policy of holding a certain level of investment in an individual share and part selling when the price goes up eg. if they buy £1 million of shares in a company and the value rises to £1.5 million they would sell £0.5 million worth. If the price then falls they would buy the shares back meaning they would then have the same number of shares they started with and cash profit as well.

so, the share price seems to be taking a pause around here

double the value of the options granted to management a while back

a just reward for a lot of hard work

I think the majority shareholder / former CEO made a good call in bringing in a new CEO and handing over a lot of the control of the company

can't have been easy to do

but the results speak for themselves

Its a strong sign that supermarkets are just driving the suppliers too close to the wall. They will have to realise that business is a two way street and a 'slice' of the profits needs to be left for the suppliers. I am glad that premier are playing hard ball and refusing to operate marginal contracts. This can only serve to strengthen Finsbury's position. I dare say that Finsbury's business is more organised than premiers and they certainly have less debt to service as a percentage of revenue, so ought to be able to undercut them.

I notice Aviva are selling shares in a few other co's they hold. Don't read anything into this one.

I don't think so. If it was an individual, it would have to give his name or holding company. I suspect its a nominee company to hold shares for several Aviva investment companies in one place to save administration. Previous shareholder lists from various sources have simply said "Aviva PLC" at just under 4%. It would be grossly misleading to the point of being against regulations if it were not them

Is that not a nominee account, i.e. a private investor?

Yep! that's quite a slug less than Boff though:-))

Any thoughts on that Aleman? seems odd thing to do having broken through the 40p resistance level from late 2008. And considering we're just getting going on the debt reduction.

I guess that's fund managers for you. We'll probably be flatlining for a while at 40pish now.
