Great movement today with virtually no retrace from the 20p level.

PG did a little peer group of small-mid cap foodies for reference and it had a p/e of just over 9 for 2012 and 8 for 2013 but that included FIF and PFD. Without them depressing the total, it was about 11 and 10. Share prices have moved a bit since then (March) but some up and some down and it looks like the average ratings won't have changed much.

No only joking guys, I've chopped my selling finger off after regretting giving even a small amount of my holding back on the cheap :)

You really out, Boff? I thought you were being sarcastic for some reason. Have you sold direct to an institution? I haven't seen any selling reported that could account for a holding of your size being sold.

...bloomin heck, FIF is on a roll....

..if it keeps going up like this then the investors that paid 85p/share to fund the acquisition of Lightbody in 2007 will see their loss wiped out....

the acquisition cost was 44M, if include debt taken on ....
and turnover was around 40M

so paid more than turnover

Incredibly, amazingly stupid imho.
But the Chairman at the time Lord Saatchi made millions out of it, he sold out (he had picked up loads of warrants in the initial reversal of FIF into a cash shell...and then converted into shares at 25p/share....sold at around 85-90p as part of the acquisition, so he multiplied that money by over 3.

the poor investors that subscribed to the deal that he had organised.....X years later and their 85p is worth about half, and went as low as around 12-15p....(dividing their investment by 6)

Broken out through the Nov 08 high, making four year highs today, next chart resistance at 63p imo.

Nearly bought in here in the Summer but did not understand the pathetically low P/E, PEG etc at the time. I do now!!!

Despite missing out, well done to you !!

Really regretting not topping up again at 22p now, i guess that's life.

I'm not too surprised, i always figured once it got going and value began to be realised that it would move fairly quickly, i still see 60p as the near term target and i think it looks like it will get there pretty quickly imo.

I think it's fair reward for those of us who have held firm for such a long time. It will be interesting to see if any of those long term holders take anything off the table as it continues to rise.

I'm still wondering if their might be some small shareholders and institutions switching to FIF from ZTR after the bid there. THey are similar companies except that FIF looked much cheaper after ZTR's rise and takeover in recent weeks.

Besides that, I was speculating MMs were short of stock in the mid 30s and I still don't think we've seen much in the way of sales to make it up. It's been quite a vote of confidence from existing holders that there seems to have been little profit-taking.

THese really should be 60p+ to match peer valuations with a slight discount, although it seems to be closing a bit quicker than I had expected. There has been much talk of a small acquisition. I wonder if there is something going on in the background that is stirring up a bit of interest.

This is now a clear breakout from the three and a half year trading range and if it can go above 40p, from a chart perspective, we'll hopefully see it drive forward to between 60/70p. Most encouraging

40p was a key level yerars ago so if we can get above it and stay above it things will look even beter.

Yep not to keen on recently floated stuff myself normally as i posted on your aim thread mainly been into divi payers but in the case of dotd and idea i was persuaded by glasshalfull analysis. Unusual for me because if not a divi payer or recovery play i'm usually looking for several years earnings growth. Also unusual for me is they're not niche, nor are there great barriers to entry and there is competition in each of the business operations but they do seem to have a very good product and i've give it a go.

t-i-m i noticed you're in gah, you've been fortunate to get in early on gah which does have several years earnings growth. Nevertheless i think there's more still there.

We'll see, be interesting to get the dotd results on tuesday. If i'm wrong (and i have been many times) then another lesson learned.
