Did you miss reading as well as the maths class at school, the proceeds of their sales paid the tax due on exercise of the options. Higher price equals more tax but same number of shares.

Your clearly not much cop at maths, regardless of the share price they both sold sufficient to cover their tax bill. At todays price they would still have to sell the same percentage of their options. The only conclusion I can draw is you should stick to the day job!
