Quite correct baz, but as when we get a feel from AGMs about mood and timescale so they will have that feel if the temperature. It's not infallible but I can't see why they would add to an already huge stake unless they felt the odds were heavily in their favour

In theory they shouldn't be privy to anything that isn't in the public domain. I agree with the potential though. One of my favourite little companies!!

True, but anyone who has a big shareholding gets to know the management and gets a feel for progress and they must be optimistic. The company is expanding its factory and has lots of orders. And the share price is low. A nice combination lots of potential upside

Estienne,

Being a firm holder of FTC I agree that I hope that we have a promising future.

However to say that the Dixon's 'have control' is not really the case. They have a substantial share-holding but have no direct control with regard to the way in which Filtronic performs. If the company does well then the share rice should rise, hopefully the opposite doesn't happen!!

Cheers

The Dixon's are just private investors who know a good thing when they see it and want to have control over their investment

No idea! There used to be a rumour of a link with Nokia but would doubt that!

Wonder when the sale will be finalised?

Reckon we have a pretty good opportunity here. It’s already been announced that the business is growing once again and with a new boss wanting to make their mark, we could possibly see a cracking few periods to come.

Fingers crossed....!

Personally think it is time for a change, so not overly concerned with the announcement. Pleasing to see finncap reiterating stance and target of 10.5p this morning.

We don't know the reason why he has left so suddenly - a difference of opinion regarding the direction of the co. is likely. At least the bottom line is still positive.

I might reinvest in ftc now, he as been like a poisonous chalice, and maybe they might stop the sale and get on with selling a market which will be begging for 5g antennas

Depends if you are talking about the mens relay from a few weeks ago!

About time someone took responsibility for the rubbish of the last few years.

Me neither Grange.
The company seem to be blaming him for the poor years since he arrived. Probably correctly.
Here's looking to the future.

This is not quite what I would describe as handing over the baton.

In the light of this morning's RNS I would not be at all surprised if a bidder swooped down on this now.
