* University of Hull, where Larkin also lived for years.

The final lines from "High Windows" are magnificent:

"..Rather than words comes the thought of high windows:
The sun-comprehending glass,
And beyond it, the deep blue air, that shows
Nothing, and is nowhere, and is endless."

Larkin an avowed atheist, despite his loves of church buildings.

Then he certainly doesn't deserve one :)

Selling if it goes through 10? Or holding out?

😊
One of pals worked at the university where he was a librarian. Leeds if I remember correctly.
Said he was one of the most aggressive, antisocial persons on campus.

I rarely take notice of investment managers shorting. They are playing with other people's money!

I see Blackrock have increased their short position to 4.43%.
Interesting battle ahead.

Another NED bought 15000 on Friday. Maybe it is a vain attempt to encourage the market, but it could be that the Board knows more than we do. Or maybe they are just deluded.

market cap of 1 billion making 45 million
tharisa market cap of 300 million and most likely making the same amount of pretax profit. this trades on pe of 20 + and other companies trade at less than pe of 3. I cannot make sense. I give up

Difficult for LTHs when they’re up against Blackrock.

Sales are slowing. I sell the stuff so I know.
One small price increase this year was not enough.
Customers ( some skint) curing back.
Production costs going up and still moving.
I said £5 in a June post
I stick with it.

Still trading on a P/E of 26, but with the growth targets slashed should be more like 15. Target price 500p IMO. Those board buys are like king Canute holding back a tsunami.

rmillaree: Do you really believe nowadays "updates" in such unstable world economy ? Things are changing by the hour.

Great idea and brilliant start, now more tricky. As for glass, what’s wrong with 33cl cans, much lighter than glass and probably cheaper. The 150ml cans are a nonsense. The free run has ended here.

"The other concern is that if things are not going well in full summer, when improvements - if any - will happen ?"

Did you read the update - sales are on target as expected - not sure what supply and inflation issues have to do with summer winter or anything

No problem, first time I've posted here.Only interested because I hold DGE and could have read across - glass shortages etc. Also thought premium brands with high gross margins would be able to mitigate inflationary cost impacts, but not in this case due to their US bottling plants.
