CTFair point on price increases.Folks will and have always said this is too pricey on a PE, but it's not on PEG (it's 12m F/cast is only 0.8).It's all about conquering the US - if they can!.Being patient and haven't bought yet as waiting for signs of a breakout above c £12.All the best too. |
DISC yea wording is wrong by me.
Looking at total revenue if its up 6-9% its actually down as they put prices up 10% last time around.
Clearly still growth in the USA but is it slowing?
I am pretty sure they are buying sales by offering big incentives
TBF same here.............when supermarkets discount the big bottles sales jump up.
I just find it very fully valued.
cheers on MPAC and i hope a bit more to come
all the best Tiger |
Anyone know when the next TU is please? |
Good day CT"growth is faltering"Think that should be clarified, the UK perhaps but definitely not the US. Don't think you could say +22% Rev is "faltering", plus total Rev growing +6% to +9% is hardly "faltering" either. As for brokers - they all have their own agendas!....and if you look at the analysis around what they say will happen and what actually has happened they are worlds apart. All the best and congrats on MPAC (their pension deficit was my issue but could soon be history and a significant bonus?) |
A broker agrees with me then. This is too high and growth is faltering.
Its well held by many big funds that will continue to support it.
You do not want to be last off the bus ( in my opinion )
the poor uk weather will not be helping either.

GS downgrades to sell from neutral |
I rather think that a Labour victory is priced into the market with a touch of market relief once delivered. |
Struggling to gain traction a bit like the UK generally, many stocks treading water. Everyone on GE watch now, patchy for some time to come. Like the drinks but has the market peaked, any competition brewing?
US bidder this year? |
the growth is categorically in the US and possibly europe. The jv in Japan could be a leftfield beneficiary but in uk it will flatline for sure. |
Exit is a bid from a big boy fed up with fighting the brand. The growth is over in Europe and the U.K. but some left in the USA HEAVY rating still. Weirdly had an e mail from them asking when an invoice was to be paid. I said on the due date 14/05/24 Strange and rather annoyed me tbh Gin mega days are behind us I feel Good luck Tiger |
It’s an interesting stock with a pedigree history & has some heavy-weight investors; Fundsmith 7.6% & Lindsell Train 15%. Just my opinion but reasonable mileage to come over the next couple of years. The Deutsche Bank “Buy” of 30/04/24 was an interesting read. |
Heh Tiger i really respect your oppinion as i know you are in the trade i dont think they will go that high in a long while but do hope they get back in the mid 20 s at some stage before i retire lol |
No chance of that in my opinion |
Well these were at £40 some time ago and now America is picking up hopefully we can get back up towards that figure in time. |
Deutsche Bank initiated coverage with a buying rating 1600p |
Selling well in us according to Nielsen. Well above category competition |
not same business but good readacross from treatt with inventory unwind signal coming through. |
Please.............. |
What’s the reason for the sudden rise in the chart? |
Take a look at monster as a comparator.... |
3.8years of revenue to buy the company doesn't seem overly high. apad |
Thanks for that, should have guessed. |
It's not a surprise when a business says they are confident that profits will double and margins will improve - it's just by how much and when. Thanks I will and good luck too with MPAC and others. |
