giles, keep hold of your shares at least until the divi date. If you bought them the day before you would still get the divi. If you sell them on the day of the divi you also get the divi but be aware that the share price will most probably drop during that time to compensate the divi. MM games, as with the share price dropping this morning first thing!

The strength of the Company's performance in 2016, together with the strong demand outlook for pellets in 2017, gives the Board confidence to announce a return to paying dividends to shareholders. A final ordinary dividend of 3.3 US cents per share is being proposed which amounts to approximately US$19 million (2015 final ordinary dividend: nil). The Board will also be paying a special dividend of 3.3 US cents per share or approximately US$19 million (2015 special dividend: nil).
If the final dividend is approved by shareholders, the dividend pay-out relating to the financial performance of 2016 will total US$38 million (2015: US$20 million) in line with the full year ordinary dividend of previous years prior to the suspension of the dividend at the end of 2015.
The special dividend will be paid on 11 April 2017 to shareholders on the register at the close of business on 31 March 2017. Subject to approval at the Group's AGM, payment of the final ordinary dividend will be made on 31 May 2017 to shareholders on the register at the close of business on 5 May 2017. The dividend will be paid in UK Pounds Sterling with an election to receive US Dollars.

So how does the dividend work? I have never had a dividend before (only been trading 2 years). Do I have to keep hold of the shares or is it enough that I owned them on the date the divi was announced? When does the divi get paid and how much is it?

Good news on FXPO . Yesterday was a clear shake on low volume to allow someone in , cheeky . Return to dividend - great news .Am very happy with that RNS , better than expected and confirmed to me that FXPO is doing really well. Also confirms that sometimes we get ETFs interfering by dumping shares due to internal reasons and cheeky pre news shakes to allow someone in . How long will this now take to head to 200s ? Or even 280 as the newly released DB target ? Might see some revised broker upgrades this week. Am happy T !!

For those who read/post over on LSE here is something that may help with the discussion about the PGOK figures. (Although personally I think it is just better to wait for the Plc results tomorrow).

This site has a page - in English - covering news from/about PGOK.

You will see that the two most recent items are headed up "PGOK Profits Up In 2016" & "PGOK Losses Down in 2016" - which is a promising start! I assume that the second article refers to Net Profit/Loss and this is apparently a 5.8bn UAH($220m)improvement on 2015.

I doubt that we can make any direct read across to the Ferrexpo Plc figures - so lets see what tomorrow brings.

DB.....the voice of reason!!.....yep you are right, just I added yesterday, used all my spare cash in sipp, even sold out some holdings that were redundant to top up here!... ce la vie, tomorrow should see us back up to recent highs and beyond.

Not really T . We had these conversations many times now . How often do we get these just above daily average true range drops ? Often ! Each time we get all the conspiracies out , and each time they are wrong and stock bounces up . Trend is UNCHANGED and it's trending upwards . We see ETFs moving stock prices too easily today because of their weight in the game .

Call me cynical but are they filling and order ? Buyer ? How can trades 30 , 90 or 400 shares keep on lowering the bid ? Sucking in the odd bigger seller as a result ? Can only be if an order is quietly being filled IMO . We shall see. Remember price was rising when Blackrock was selling. So as price is falling some big buyer is buying

Plus iron ore above $90 , last I checked $92.1 !! Insane and very high. Just needs to stay above $60 to produce great results so $90 is fantastic
