2 buys at 8.675 have taken the trades to 8 and the volume to 114000. Looks as if it’s getting ready to move if the volume picks up.

No News yet in May and the last investment news was Northern Leaf on 1st April. Following Ed’s interview last week I am expecting news this week and for the share price to move north as the discount to NAV needs to correct.

Just 3 trades this afternoon all buys at 8.70. Clearly the MM’s have no stock and nobody is going to sell at this price. It’s disgraceful behaviour and makes a nonsense of the term market maker!

That's what happens when the market makers don't really have any stock 8881CB, and people aren't prepared to push the boat out to make them deliver on their 20k offer @8.70 with a fill or kill order. It would only take one or two orders to force Winterflood and Shore Capital off the ask and onto the bid imo.

6 v 2 but market makers on the ask don't really have any stock so you can't get a fixed price quote. I had another small nibble using the balance of cash in my account and had to let it go to market best just to get those 6264 shares.

Normal market size is 20k shares, so a fill or kill order for 20k at 8.70 might work and then the bid will have to move up.

Had a couple of small nibbles this morning but had to go to 'market best' for the last 10k and the ask then ticked up to 8.70. The MMs are obviously praying that some sellers will emerge now to provide supply but I think they will need to increase their pathetic bid price if they want to get any.

We had 2.5% of EMMAC (less than Ed) and while we had hoped for more it was a very good return and is cash in the bank. Leap our largest investment in value will be on a different scale not least because we own 44%. Ed is on the board and will know the likely value. When Ed says he expects a market cap of at least £50 million by the end of the year to me that’s a very big hint that Leap is worth multiples of the £7.3 million it shows in our last accounts.

Problem is people create such high expectations that if any result isn't x 5 bags they're disappointed. When Ed said first target is 50 million market cap, people probably thought that was via Emmac and 100 million target would be thru Leap. Still a very good result with money now to invest, but the hot money moved on

Yea FFWD did something unknown amongst aim companies. It produced a £5 million return to investors which they can now build the leading cannabis fund in Europe.

I think February jump was in anticipation of a huge emmac result, and then it went down as people were disappointed with the smaller gains

The point is that the outlook and value of the investments is even better than they were in February and one has become a pile of cash. Massive discount to NAV and February shows how quickly this can be corrected if the market takes an interest.

A new listing this week in London could well have been on FFWD’s radar:
Alliance News) - Start-up Oxford Cannabinoid Technologies Ltd said Tuesday it will float on the London Main Market this week.
OCT is a London-based biotech company focussed on medicines that mimic the painkilling effects of cannabis.
It will aim to raise GBP16.5 million from the initial public offering this Friday. Its valuation after the listing is expected to be around GBP51 million.
Proceeds of the IPO will be used to help "develop a portfolio of four drug candidates for approval as licensed pain medicines". OCT estimates the addressable pain market to be worth at least GBP42.5 billion globally.
Cairn Financial Advisers LLP and States Bridge Capital Ltd are advising on the float.

Moving in the right direction this morning Up 3.1% on volume of 1.5 million.
As people digest yesterday’s interview with Ed they should realise what a good entry point this as the discount to NAV is quite frankly ridiculous and that’s without any upside for Leap from its current £7.3 million last accounts value.
On past form I think the fact that Ed has given a big interview means we will have news in days. We know they have mentioned 2 new investments by the end of June but will also put more money into existing investments as they have further fund raises presumably pre IPO or on IPO. Ed indicated in so far as he can that Leap is worth a lot more than its value on our books and is increasing constantly.
The next few weeks and months are going to be very rewarding imho.

Difficult to understand how this is down 0.6% in the face of strong buying with the most recent trade a 250000 Buy taking the volume above 1 million.

The NAV of most of the investments is totally transparent as they are listed and there is cash.
If you are not sure just do your homework and there is no doubt this trades at a massive discount to proven NAV. There is no fluff here it’s all fact and a great buying opportunity if you like buying at a discount.
