I am new to the details of the company so I'm afraid I wasn't looking for such subtleties as body language! He did mention corona virus but nothing definitive.

And I don't know the history of steroids in SNG's studies. After hearing about the problems with Traumakine I went and looked at the SGN trial and was pleased to see it was an exclusion criteria but I don't know the reason why.

Nobby. Thanks.
Did Markku mention Corona Virus?
Body language when speaking about the FDA feedback?
Synairgen. I am not familiar with the product or company. Do you know if there was any evidence that steroids caused more harm than good in this indication?
TIA

I heard the presentation on Thursday at Proactive. I have to say I am quite impressed with the Clevegen antibody and was interested to hear the results of the ongoing open label trial will be released in March. From what I saw and my knowledge of a similar drug, I think it has a good chance of working. So FARN might be worth a punt on the back of this result and I will be watching for a suitable buy point.

Just a comment about Traumakine and the steroid issue. Synairgen clearly got to grips with this problem because in their ongoing inhaled beta interferon trial in COPD with viral infections they excluded patients who had been on oral steroids in the last 6 weeks. I think that trial has a very high chance of a successful outcome....

Daffodil4. My understanding is that Faron have only just submitted a revised plan based on feedback. This feedback included:

"The trial protocol has been amended to reflect the FDA's feedback that further studies with interferon-beta (IFN-beta) should exclude the use of overlapping steroids".

I think this is very significant news.

Also, a suggestion (no more) that Traumakine might have some application treating some patients suffering from Corona Virus (I have no idea how much Traumakine is available to even contemplate this step).

If as Faron have said the trial only
failed because they used steroids..
why did the FDA not agree another
Phase 3 trial now ...there is obviously
another isssue...the RNS gives no detail
at all of what the FDA advised...!!!

Big positives here IMO out of something initially that could have been potentially seen as a negative!

N.. I totally disagree. Faron have to release
price sensitive news, and now 2 months
on from the meeting the minutes will
have been received and should be released.
The matter of arbitration is completely
separate...it is a question of a contract
being broken, nothing to do with FDA
approval.

Daffodil4.
It is possible that the arbitration issue with Rentschler has a bearing on, and thus delayed, any news of the FDA meeting outcome. As a third party is providing litigation funding, I imagine they have a major say in any news release about anything to do with Traumakine.

Apols...should have said due within 30 days not after..
We are well over the due date...

If due after 30 days, surely that's very open ended and could take 60 days. Also can't see how they could hold back on market sensitive news, when it's coming from the FDA !!!

The minutes from the FDA meeting were due after 30 days
so Faron definitely have them by now. It is price
sensitive news and shareholders should have been
notfied by now...... They are witholding this information..
if it was positive there would be no reason to do that..
IMO!

Is this the first move into the USA for Clevegen?

Hi hasertu

There have been other successes where terminal patients
are now cancer free...very exciting progress. I agree
Clevegen has great promise..early days let's see!
Re Traumakine, I know other drugs are in trial, not
sure how they are progressing. It remains an area
that needs a successful treatment.....my gut says
it will need further data before another trial is agreed
but who knows! I do think the outcome is known now..
but still need a backer for another trial and someone
to manufacture the drug....so a few hurdles to overcome.
I have been in OXB a long time ago..will take another look. Thanks!
GL.

Daffodil4. Are you referring to the documentary "War in the blood"?
If you to know more, have a look at the OXB BB, to see the collaboration with Novartis.
Using T cells is, without doubt a hot topic.
However, so is Clevegen, in my mind.
Which will be the commercial success? Who knows?
Cure all cancers? In the programme I saw, two patients died because the cancer evolved. Makes for a good headline to attract readers/viewers, but should taken with a pinch of salt. I doubt the medical community said that.
As to Traumakine/FDA, I do not expect a quick decision. It is no simple matter to ditch conventional treatment in favour of an untried approach.

FDA meeting to request permission to
do another phase 3 trial on Traumakine
that took place at beginning of December.
Faron said they are waiting for the minutes
so they can update shareholders...but IMO
they must know what has been agreed by now.
Have a feeling they will not get permission..
Someone is definitely offloading steadily
to not cause a panic sell off...
Also everyone should watch last nights
Panorama...a new treatment using patients
own cells to attack the cancer is showing
potential to cure all types of cancer..
so this could have a massive impact on
ALL other cancer drugs as they could be
obsolete before they are even tested...
If as I beiieve Faron is really all about
Clevegen now..this is a significant
developement. GLA!
