29/12/2015 18:23 | I thought fogl sold for 10p | woff woff
29/12/2015 16:26 | Interesting to note that the discount to the implied RKH bid price has now all but disappeared. Well done to all those who took advantage of what was an outstanding arbitrage opportunity. | mesquida
29/12/2015 14:47 | agnabeya Totally agree about China, I had a few shares in emerald energy and made a nice little killing when they bought us out, and again on Fortune. China was the sleeping giant, but not anymore. What amuses me about present day newsflow, especially on current oil price speculation, being the powers that be want us all to believe the only way is down for oil prices, I have no doubt it may well go lower. But it won't stay low and when this nonsense being peddled by the price speculaters and the political nonsense between the west and Russia and I am not leaving out China and India, reality will return and those of us who have managed to stand this rubbish should surely be rewarded. again good luck | paddyomalley
29/12/2015 11:42 | Paddy.....yes, you're absolutely right. The Russian gambit too. This is the furthest reaching power play globally in the oil resources there's ever been. There is everything to play for, as you point out, it's a finite resource. China has been quietly buying it's way into it. I always worried there would be a massive global war for oil, but it looks like it's going to be strategic skirmishes in the Middle East until the outcome is decided. Edit: if you look at Romaron's post this morning on the other BB for RKH, he copies part of an FT Editorial that repeats the sentiments discussed here. | agnabeya
29/12/2015 10:52 | Agnabeya, I totally agree with your comments about the political objectives behind the price of oil, and as I have said before, is NOT an infinite source of energy, and contrary to previous speculative belief that an alternative source of energy will be found soon, I don't think so, and I think the low price of oil is also to halt Russia's expansion to its previous status on the world stage. though I think the west is making a big mistake if they think that the Russian people will rid themselves of Putin any time soon. However we will soon see AIMHO | paddyomalley
27/12/2015 23:12 | Many thought that OPEC would capitulate ages ago but they didn't. I agree with ngms. POO will stay low right through 2016. Even if POO does rise banks/finance houses will be too frightened to fund the smaller oiies in case the same thing happens again. Insufficient damage has been done thus far as far as the Saudies are concerned. Another year to year and a half of this painful punishment is on the cards. | ammons
27/12/2015 22:35 | Once hedges run out do you think opec can sustain low oil prices themselves. I think not | jayrh
26/12/2015 11:41 | Neither can I but I think 2016 is sub $40 on average and may go as low as $25 Premier are dead in the water, which doesn't bode well for the likes of RKH and FOGL | ngms27
25/12/2015 21:55 | Low POO until 2024? I can't see that. | agnabeya
23/12/2015 13:20 | Thanks rogerlin, I've kind of lost heart to even check anything out these days.....;) According to a report on the RKH meeting last week, there are still rig problems - so if we do get news in January, that'll do me. I've learned not to hold my breath. GLA | agnabeya
23/12/2015 09:36 | Drilling operations in the Isobel-Elaine area of the North Falklands basin are ongoing. The Isobel Deep re-drill well is drilling ahead with results expected early in the New Year. PMO update today. | rogerlin
20/12/2015 02:44 | piston....prove it?? rockhoppers goona fly baby and already on its way. 2016 rockhopper 250p ...oil price back up to the 90s patience is a virtue. bandit. p.s i agree christy. | oilbandit
18/12/2015 00:51 | Piston: I am wondering why, my son who works on the rigs and knows guys on the ER hasn't mentioned problems......he came by a week or so back and I asked why a lot of these movements may have happened and he seems to think it was a pretty common event and explained the likelihood of each.....would be nice to hear the facts from someone Actually there though! With the Fed now feeding growth and Argentina moving to the right etc., I suspect the poo may follow the Fed's move......and steady as she goes. | christy27
17/12/2015 17:05 | oilbandit - sorry but you are wrong | pistonbroke1
17/12/2015 16:32 | Bard...:D So he's in the cabinet? Or closet, by any other name.........;) | agnabeya
17/12/2015 14:05 | nothing wrong with the rig...all going to plan and on schedule. fact. bandit. p.s these grannies on the other thread dont give up do they. | oilbandit
17/12/2015 09:27 | Re: post 33363: Verily, methinks 'twas a most interesting morsel of news Agna. Argentine Finance Minister Alfonso Prat-Gay - a rose by any other name, perchance....? | from bard to verse
16/12/2015 11:09 | Agter reading the excellent report on the other BB from biffadog, who attended the RKH GM, it sounds like the ER has been a total disaste. Sounds like poor well design too. I think the ER owners should have to stump up as they contracted a rig that they apparently knew wasn't fit for purpose. I think we'll be wating for results into the end of January at soonest. I'm going to forget about it all until after Xmas. Have a great one chaps, and here's to a (more) prosperous New Year for all of us. :D | agnabeya
15/12/2015 18:59 | thanks chris for your support i need it mate ... and no we certainly are not alone in the way we are thinking it seems as we also have plenty of holders sitting in the same boat and waiting for results upon the other BBoard...even though they do sound like old grannys bickering sometimes.....speaki meanwhile perhaps some positive news is just around the corner for us and its a good sighn of perhaps a turning point for us now being that we are all now piled into rockhopper. its funny ...i prefer that name anyway compared to falkland oil and gas it sounds much more enviromentally friendly dont ya think....lol. P@ definition for those who dont understand. BREAKING DOWN 'Perpetual Option - XPO' For investors, perpetual options represent the highest ratio of possible risk/reward payoff compared to existing financial products. Perpetual options are viewed as "plain vanilla" options. For many investors they represent an advantage over other instruments (where dividends and/or voting rights are not a high priority) because the strike price on a perpetual option enables the holder to choose the buy or sell price point instead of having to select a singular stock price. In addition, XPOs can be preferable to standard options because they eliminate the expiration risk. | oilbandit
15/12/2015 10:39 | With FOGL/RKH cash ,this is like a perpetual call option on the oil price! | p@ |
