13/10/2004 11:22 | Jedi, the code is FOGL, and RAB for RAB. Regards | dunnie
13/10/2004 11:14 | I have just spoken to Capita, and they still cannot confirm the allocation sizes for Falklands oil | ![]() andy
13/10/2004 11:13 | RAB Capital have 30% if you are disappointed with your allocation, buy RAB. | dunnie
13/10/2004 11:00 | capita dont know what the code will be, how can i instruct my broker to buy a share when i dont know what the flaming code is. Oh well onto the LSE maybe they know. | jedi shorter
13/10/2004 10:57 | jedi, Good one, doesn't exist as far as I can see. | ![]() andy
13/10/2004 10:55 | Assagai, ok thanks. | ![]() andy
13/10/2004 10:54 | Yes they can - not saying it will be though. | ![]() assagai
13/10/2004 10:53 | FOGL is frontier Oil and Gas, but that is an OTC US stock, so not sure if Falklands Oil can use the same ticker if it already exists, albeit in another country on a minor exchange. | ![]() andy
13/10/2004 10:48 | Sorry meant Frontier Oil & Gas | john hawbrook
13/10/2004 10:43 | Fortune oil and gas is: FTO | jedi shorter
13/10/2004 10:42 | ive tried putting fogl in on the intraday chart and it comes up blank so it cant be fortune oil. | jedi shorter
13/10/2004 10:40 | Anyone know what the EPIC will be for FOGL as it can't be FOGL as that's Fortune Oil & Gas ? | john hawbrook
13/10/2004 10:21 | So, we can't sell tomorrow, as the certificates won't arrive until the 28th? Or risk being caught short with your broker. | badgeman
13/10/2004 10:20 | thats exactly what he is trying to do, i better call him and see if he has had any luck securing an advance order from kbc. | jedi shorter
13/10/2004 10:03 | Jedi, I seriously doubt you will be able to buy at below 50p when dealing starts, unless your broker can buy them pre market. | ![]() andy
13/10/2004 09:54 | if i can get in at 50p or lower with 5000 shares i should be able to sell 2500 assuming it hits a pound ill have 2500 for free. Not impossible as ive done exactly the above before. | jedi shorter
13/10/2004 09:51 | Thats a good idea, you will hopefully be able to sell them for a quick profit on the day. I am annoyed I have to wait until the 28th October (the certificates are dispatched), they probably won't reach me until November. Two weeks trading then I'll be able to sell half my holding, I only wanted 5000 shares anyway. | monkeymagic
13/10/2004 09:50 | monkeymagic, Which phone number did you ring to obtain that information please? | ![]() andy
13/10/2004 09:48 | Hmmmm i was going to go for 5000 but went for the miniumum instead thinking it would be oversubscribed, i thought i wouldnt know for two weeks wether or not id be getting a check for the difference in the post and therefore would not know how much funds i have. I therefore thought it better to snap up another 5000 at 8am on the day and on a T20 as well. | jedi shorter
13/10/2004 09:45 | I applied for 10,000 shares | monkeymagic
13/10/2004 09:44 | was that above the minimum? | jedi shorter
13/10/2004 09:41 | Can you sell your shares before the certificate arrives? I called Capita IRG yesterday, they assured me that I had been allotted the shares that i applied for. | monkeymagic
13/10/2004 09:22 | I believe they estimate that the price will hit £1 within the first few hours of trading, the public offering was for only 5m shares which will create a tight squeeze and the price will fly. RAB's there to play it another way if you are disappointed with your allocation. | dunnie
13/10/2004 09:14 | Would love to know grey market price on this, For the record, I've applied for 15,000 shs and reckon px will close on first days trading at 55p-60p. Anyone else got thoughts on that???? JPDM | jpdm fortunemaker |
