07/2/2018 13:16 | Wednesday 07 February 2018Sprint start for Falanx in 2018Good start for Falanx in 2018AIM-listed cyber security company Falanx has come straight out of the blocks in 2018, winning new deals and extending an existing contract for its MidGARD managed security services. After announcing a £250k, three year agreement with a UK health sector organisation in January, Falanx started February with another £700k contract, this one to deliver IT infrastructure monitoring and protection for an international law firm. Falanx also extended another client deal to add an extra £130k of revenue to an existing £250k contract. That makes over £1m of new orders in the calendar year so far, a good return for MidGARD which provides many of the components we think UK organisations need to ensure ongoing protection against data breaches and regulatory scrutiny ie network traffic monitoring; vulnerability and compliance analysis; threat intelligence; security assessments and reporting. The race to long term success is a marathon, not a sprint, of course but the additional revenue should help the restructured Falanx overturn the operating loss of £1.2m posted in FY17, already shrunk from a £2.6m operating loss in FY16 and boosted by the acquisition of UK cyber security consultancy AuditSec Services in September last year. | kaka47
07/2/2018 13:00 | Broker said FLX are now looking forward to an especially strong Q4-FY18 from a cash flow perspective, as this new contract win and existing contract subscriptions are received. Net cash should be at least £0.2m at the year-end date, after capex, but the balance may be higher post advance customer payments. | kaka47
07/2/2018 13:00 | 1.1million pound worth more contracts signed after the one below Falanx Group Ltd An especially strong Q4-FY18 say Beaufort Securities 20-12-17Falanx Group Ltd (LON:FLX), the AIM listed global intelligence & cyber security group, has announced a multi-year contract win with a Global 50 financial services firm.Beaufort Securities said that this contract was won amidst stiff competition after completing a simulated 'hacking week' which further validates FLX's product suite. This win improves the firm's trevenue run-rate such that the FLX business should now break-even on an underlying EBITDA basis from March-18.FLX are now looking forward to an especially strong Q4-FY18 from a cash flow perspective, as this new contract win and existing contract subscriptions are received. Net cash should be at least £0.2m at the year-end date, after capex, but the balance may be higher post advance customer payments. | kaka47
07/2/2018 12:49 | 20-12-17Mike Read, Chairman and CEO, commented:"Since taking over as CEO and conducting a far-reaching review of our business, I am pleased to report Falanx continues to grow and remains in-line with the Boards expectation to move into Break Even within our financial year. | kaka47
07/2/2018 12:47 | Scare Mongering Derampers Management has stated so many times I've lost count that they will be cash flow positive by the end of March this year | kaka47
07/2/2018 12:26 | If they continue to win these sort of contracts over the next few months then the cash problem will be short term, imo if the front loading does not provide enough cash then they may go for a short term bank loan. The issue is the cash burn, if it has continued at 200k per month then they will be in need soon, however it may be that the figure was boosted by one of costs. Time will tell. | nearlythere
07/2/2018 12:02 | THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM IS THE CURRENT LACK OF CASH CASH EXPECTED TO RUN OUT WITHIN 5 WEEKS EXPECT DILUTION WITHIN NEXT 3 WEEKS Decision is buy now or wait for dilution and buy a lot more for the same initial investment in the next few weeks? ____________________ "We forecast year to March 31 2019 ( ie 7 and a bit weeks away from being current year) pre and post tax profits of closer to £1 million than £500,000. 07/2/2018 11:47 | Sclper He said that last time around just a few months before they did a placing and said no placing coming lol. Could be a pump and dump by him for all we know. A Q and A session with FLX, Nope Noooo placing, then it arrived. Time will tell if they will do one they may not. Each to their own to invest now or hang on in wait and see mode. | superg1

07/2/2018 11:30 | It seems TW is getting the inside track on FLX. Didn't he write an article last week saying the company was about to announce a major new Midgard contract - and voila today we get the announcement? He also said the company was fully funded i.e. no need for a placing, so it will be interesting if he's right on that too. | sclper
07/2/2018 11:27 | Look at Warwick over on PHE. He is the largest shareholder in the company. He bought a good chunk of shares at .7-.8p days before they gave some to private investors (excluding him) for about .5p he had no idea it was on offer. That's where the share price now sits .5p Biggest backer by a mile and chats to the CEO regularly. So on FLX, if they are flying and in profits with contracts stacking up it's a cheap buy at 8p but with far more confidence and perhaps a bigger investment. If fund raising and discount with some detail of the circs then perhaps a buy again. The safe option is to wait and see. The lack of heavy buying at this price considering the drop recently doesn't show confidence by those currently invested. | superg1
07/2/2018 11:19 | DJ Happens on few shares so I don't doubt that. | superg1 |
