Well, I'm out. A 50% profit in under 3 months will do me. Too often in the past I haven't taken profits at high levels, only to watch a share slump back.

The seller showed size into the auction at 300, there is stock about to be hoovered up by any one with the cash and balls of steel.
We have not heard from Lukoil or Gazprom as of yet, they seem very quiet.
The ending of the formal sale process means that the bidders can not remain secret and that the clock is now ticking.

Currently sitting on decent profit and hoping for more! One thought that has occured to me is that most people seem to be assuming it will be a cash offer. Does anyone have any thoughts on the possibility of it being a low cash offer plus something else, which we may not like!!

I hope a reasonable offer does come sooner rather than later. I originally bought in @ 152 twelve months ago, so almost doubled my money if the share price stays around this level. I must admit though when its all over I will miss these daily RNS's, I find many of them extremely intriguing, like some sort of complex puzzle with bits moving about constantly.

I dipped the very fat toe back in the water at 297 and 294 5k at each level. I think this deal happens and have a lot of cash that says so too!
There was an insto seller of 500k at 310 earlier in the day, he may be taking down, we will see tomorrow who he was and at what level but given the previous form I think it will be Schroders.

I'd be lying if I said I was completely comfortable with all the happenings but one constant remains, a private Russian oligarch has declared his interest in an offer and has purchased 29.99% of the company for a substantial premium to the current share price.

I thought the same as Alchemy, two contenders have indicated that they are considering a bid and now the opportunity is there for either or both to make a formal offer. We may all yet be surprised by some other declarations of interest suddenly appearing.
