With so many failures and disappointments in the Covid treatment space, it looks like as far as SFX-01's Covid/ARDS patient trials are concerned, the market is awaiting approval from the DSMB on the assessment of the first 100 patients, and so one can assume that the greenlight from the DSMB for the trial to continue will be the catalyst for full market appreciation imho. News from the rest of the pipeline which could add significant value could drop at anytime, especially disclosure of the solid tumour collaboration. Gla holders...:-)

Based on Hew's last interview, wouldn't be surprised to read of some patent filings here before too long On Target.

And meanwhile EVG is well into clinical trials for a treatment! You couldn't make it up.The market is treating EVG differently for some reason.

I see OKYO has gone up in value by EVG's entire market cap on the news of filing a patent..

Worth looking at OKYO's rns today - extract below

"Together with On Target Therapeutics LLC, we have been exploring chemerin and associated analogues for other potential therapeutic uses and are now also focusing on chemerin as a novel approach to treating COVID-19 and ARDS patients," said Dr. Gary S. Jacob, CEO of OKYO. "We are working aggressively to expand this COVID-19 work and will be providing progress on this project as important developments occur."

OKYO (LSE: OKYO; OTCQB: EMMLF), the life sciences and biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of novel molecules to treat inflammatory dry eye diseases and chronic pain, announces that it has today submitted a patent application for the potential use of chemerin and chemerin analogues for prophylaxis against and treatment of symptoms associated with, or resulting from, infection with SARS-CoV-2 virus, including inflammation due to the cytokine storm caused by COVID-19 disease ("COVID-19"), and acute respiratory distress syndrome ("ARDS").

Dear me! The de-rampers didn’t like this news. Keep it up Money! They are twisting and turning now! But more importantly - Seems the company has woken up to the importance of news flow with Hew’s arrival! Expect an RNS every few weeks now. Looking forward to more on solid tumour cancers!

And bang on my expectations for the interim analysis in April. I will go back later today and pick out all your time predictions for this trial and show how completely wrong you have been. It's need to be done to nail the lies....

MM,

my comment re a flat recruitment rate not being what one would hope at present is not "wet talk". There is currently a greater pool of patients than in May, for example, when SFX-01 trials were effectively waiting in line to begin. There should be a gradual increase in the familiarity with the treatment. That rate of increase should get steeper and one would therefore expect the rate of enrolment to increase providing the patient pool remains present. Therefore, if 8 are recruited in the first two weeks we might reasonably hope for 12+ in the second two weeks, etc. While the rate of increase in the pool of patients is high it would be helpful to see an acceleration of enrolment. At some point ALL OF US hope and expect that the pool of patients will decline dramatically - and due to positive outcomes for them rather than negative outcomes.

And that is all I am saying - I am not passing any judgement at all on whether the current rate is good or bad - simply that one would hope for it not to be flat.

If that is unreasonable by all means explain why. TBH, I became a silent holder and stopped looking in because I got sick of the spatting here.

G.

I will go back later and prove it.

Here is a post from 19th December when you said we must be close to the first 100 being recruited. Yet here we are mid January and its only 56....I rest my case!

Tier 4, a new variant rampant in London and the South East with a rapid intense rise in hospital admissions...the recruitment and assessment of the first 100 patients administered SFX-01 must be very close imho....the urgency of finding treatments to treat and alleviate the severe respiratory effects of Covid-19 has just gone up a notch...Gla holders...let's hope SFX-01 will have a part to play. ;-)

Yes MM, like I said in my last post, they are running slightly ahead of expectations, that is good news and the investigators should be commended, especially as the trial is not one that has been prioritised as urgent by NIHR

Lol nobby, how snide are you??? i have never suggested that the trial would ever be complete by February ( maybe if the trial had started in July 2020 as expected ) and had only suggested that the first 100 patients could be recruited by January, and it now looks like this will happen in the next few weeks given the progress of 50 patients a month. Gla Holders....One thing for sure is that Evgen now looks like it has the march on SNG.....On and UP!!! ;-)

Timbo, you origianlly estimated 20 patients ( see your post below ), it now looks like they're recruiting 50 patients a month, a number that is likely to accelerate as hospital staff and Clinical trial units become more and more familiar with SFX-01's recruitment protocol. Gl ;-)

" They recruited nine patients in the first two weeks, this corresponds to approximately 20 patients /month, so it would be reasonable to assume that they might have recruited 100 patients by end of April 2021 and completed 100 patients by end of May 2021, the DSMB analysis might take 2 weeks, in which case it would be mid June 2021 when DSMB report."

So let's do a few timelines. Forty-four more patients to recruit at one a day so let's say six weeks, which takes us to 4th March. Then the last patient has 28 days follow up which takes us to 1st April. Then there will be at least a week to do the interim analysis so I guess 2nd week of April, which I think is roughly what I predicted!

Lol....Gla Holders....the green light from the DSMB on SFX-01's firt 100 patients will be very well received. ;-)
