5 out of 8 items sold out online at Boots.

Still 6 more weeks before Christmas. Hope they can get more stock in soon.

Remember this from the interim's?
"Net cash as at 31 August 2020 of GBP9m"

Current market cap £10.4m

Obviously the cash pile as probably dropped since then, but they were cash positive on their last TU. So not much enterprise value associated with the company at current prices.

Probably money just moving around. Eve have benefited from lockdown though.

If the marking down is based on the vaccine and the idea retail will shift back to bricks and mortar, I think it’s a false assumption.

For a start, the restrictions won’t be easing anytime soon so online will still be the available default. Secondly, a vaccine is likely to boost general consumer confidence. Thirdly, as has been mentioned, the new normal means increased o/l market share is likely here to stay. It seems a win-win for eve.

Do investors think we no longer need a good night sleep anymore!

Doubt it, more likely they think EVE's advantage as a primarily online DTC business will be weakened once physical stores are back up. Same reasoning behind Ocado's 14% drop and other online plays.

FWIW, IMO whilst lockdown has helped EVE, the rebuild strategy was in no way predicated on the acceleration of online retail. I think EVE had a strong Q3 and finished Oct strong. With a typically good Black Friday and Christmas/New Year I think they will outperform current guidance and 2021 will see Cheryl and team taking the strategy to the next level.

Why are people selling this on the news of a vaccine? Do investors think we no longer need a good night sleep anymore!

I'm not sure if this is indicative of how busy EVE are but I counted 19 reviews left on UK.trustpilot just in the last 21 hours. All good except 1. Of course you have to assume that all reviews are genuine and not fake. Also not everybody who buys gives a review.

Not the best investment I've ever done. Hopefully a positive TU should alleviate any fears.

The point is a rather odd one. Why a Fever Tree mixer over supermarket own brand? Why a Burberry coat over a supermarket own brand?I think it's because the market tends to support different product price points depending on the consumer you are targeting.

199 squid and it's only a single! I think I'd be more anxious waiting for the credit card bill to arrive! Wellness my ar...e you mad?! ;-)

Perhaps they should sell extended warranties or nervous breakdown insurance.

And..I understand the weighted blanket is currently back in fashion and, indeed, the price is pitched as a 100% cotton premium version of that type of product so not as outlandish as may first seem.

That £200 blanket is a weighted blanket. Google and you'll understand the principle behind ties in to eve developing it's sleep wellness angle. The idea is a heavier weighted blanket is related to relieving anxiety and a method of sleep stress relief - it's actually a clever product to introduce in these uncertain times.
