03/12/2020 13:41 | If they are busier than ever and still can't turn a profit just what is the business model here? | katsy
03/12/2020 11:12 | Also, I believe that the cash levels are the same as the end of 2019. Another positive sign (note 'robust financials' mentioned in statement). Don't forget in the second half they have also (as per the previous update) invested in the Nov to Apr21 tv campaign and they have been bulking out inventory in advance of Brexit. | richie07
03/12/2020 11:08 | I actually think the notice downplays the achievement. They have raised revenue guidance by £2m in the space of two months since the Sept statement. We know that 2020 is a year of two halves for eve and online in general. As they mentioned in the Sept statement, they were EBITDA positive from May onward as online and homewares took off. This is a strong update. | richie07
03/12/2020 11:03 | clocktower - good point | niggle
03/12/2020 11:00 | Ref 2087, at 2.5m EBITDA loss and GM over 50%, the quick calculation is that another 5m revenue (20% increase on this year) would be needed to break even. On current growth rates that would be about a year. With a current marcap of 13M, it won't take much profit to support a much higher share price The above situation could be better depending on how operational efficiencies and reduction in competition work through or worse if (as you say) orders drop off. | ewanwhose
03/12/2020 10:42 | niggle, I expect they will still buy EVE goods at Next etc and not only on-line. | clocktower
03/12/2020 10:40 | What is people's 12 month forecast for the price. | johnv
03/12/2020 10:28 | nesquick - you mean £4500's worth or around 4.5 premium mattresses. Have you considered that once people are allowed to go back to the shop this company might just continue its sales trajectory downwards? I would not buy a mattress online. | niggle
03/12/2020 10:24 | So if it turns over £22m , what will the losses be and how many years will it take for it to turn the first profit? Does anyone have any idea of that? What level of turnover does it need to turn profitable? | niggle
03/12/2020 09:48 | High confidence by the CEO buying all those shares | nesquikme
03/12/2020 09:44 | 25 pence target | nesquikme
03/12/2020 09:20 | Buys piling in News coming CEO buying | nesquikme
03/12/2020 09:16 | Good news that Which! have us as their top 2 mattresses and 3 in their top 5. That should generate sales without marketing spend. | ewanwhose
03/12/2020 09:08 | My take is that first half included a one-off reduction in inventory (enabled by improvement in IT systems) and low marketing spend. The EBITDA number is disappointing, but I think management is reporting conservatively so the actual number could be better than this. | ewanwhose
03/12/2020 09:01 | As predicted - an update with trading ahead of expectations.. disappointed withe the EBITDS projection though - can anyone explain why the EBITDA loss will be larger in H2 than H1? Thanks | mikro1
03/12/2020 08:31 | Very undervalued. Isn't at least 3p of that share price cash in hand. | richie07
03/12/2020 08:30 | Undervalued | hamidahamida
03/12/2020 08:29 | Fantastic figures! Strong brand growth, record Black Friday sales! All good! | richie07
03/12/2020 08:20 | £8m in cash and c£13m market cap | katsy
03/12/2020 08:07 | Nice trading update this am | wrighna1
02/12/2020 20:07 | According to their website the Evesleep sale ends tonight.. hopefully the evesleep share price sale ends tomorrow.. | mikro1
30/11/2020 22:42 | I think this CEO is careful not to overhype progress or make overly optimistic predictions, rather to do the opposite. I think therefore the next announcement will be of exceeding forecasts. | mikro1 |
