10p clocktower, the market thinks otherwise! Until we know the marketing strategy this will be stuck in this range.

I was somewhat alarmed when somebody posted that they are selling blankets for £179. Sorry but the times of exorbitance has ended with what's going on now.

There now seems to be a solid base at around 5p - just need to wait for the next big hike to 10p.

It will come and I doubt the wait will be long.

A couple of other highlights

1) A turnaround strategy (under new management) that has seen significant losses turned in to cashflow positive operations over the last reported period

2) The opportunity to buy at these levels is somewhat trading history but also, and significantly, due to the Woodford funds being liquidated (which completed earlier in the year).

3) Growing brand recognition and strength with the 'sleep wellness' and 'dancing sloth' angles. The stocking of eve by Boots is a nice indicator of this (alongside existing stocking by Next, Argos etc etc).

4) Reduced competition with the likes of Casper exiting the UK market

5) The pandemic has had a warp speed impact on the shift to online AND significantly, online home items. An article yesterday in the press mentioned that furniture sales have rocketed during lockdown as (those that are able) divert money from holiday expenditure to investing in their homes.

I believe lockdown one did lead to a increase in spending on bedrooms as people converted spare rooms to accommodate additional beds. My guess (one example) is the University chaos and the fact lessons are moving online mean students are going to be coming home again early leading to further demand to re-kit bedrooms.

New lockdowns being proposed may also focus spending once again on the home, and a good nights sleep is essential to good health.

I seem to recall these were tipped in the MOS Midas column a week or two back also. Looking good!

We wait and see. Showing some life again today. Seems to have bounced off the recent test of 4p. Is another leg up due?

It's not guaranteed, but Cheryl seems more communicative than previous management.

CEO only recently purchased shares, so I assume there can't be news for a while.

I'm not sure we'll get an update before Jan now unless there's a change in guidance? I don't think they report anything other than interim and full year.

Possibly in anticipation of a quarterly update in the next week or so.

Free delivery from eve.
I see the Weighted Blanket listed by eve now. £199 - that's one pricey blanket!

Cheaper at Boots than direct from eve:

Interesting research. 'eve mattress' has tracked sideways all year, despite relatively little marketing. 'Emma mattress' has also pretty much tracked sideways but at a higher % of the peak, despite a lot of marketing. Shame that absolute numbers aren't available.

The eve gift range now available direct from eve online (good margins).
Soon available from Boots in store and online (less margin, but good exposure)

Are we back below cash again? This is a very very tempting add.

i was looking at trend data

category search for king size (proxy for market):

eve sleep brand searches:

Google trends as a broad barometer for consumer interest - obviously comes with some anomalies, not all searches will be purchase seeking.

would like to see the later trending inline with category.

When I search for mattresses on google, I can't find one mention of EVE sleep on the first page

the weekly chart provides a bit more reassurance (cup and handle arguabley july-to date) - agree with @ewanwhose - marketing key now. google trends shows historic peaks in Q4 for beds and mattress but eve are trending down on searches for own brand which could point to challenge to take share. IMO.

I think we are heading down a bit more before it resumes the uptrend. Patience key.
