I cannot remember his waffle interview about diversification, which of course all oil companies need. It involved North Sea, which he's done but I think it was Ireland and Morocco, both of which nothing has even been hinted at.

He will probably use the cash to pay the wages of those who must be flat out opening the post.

I've noticed that they have removed the address of the company from their web site too. They use their registered address along with 38 other companies. so no popping in for a cup of tea.

UJO are increasing about a million a month so we'll be at around £800k a month, with further uplifts to come. Surely those funds could have been raised in a less dilutive way to shareholders.

If I was unhappy with a BoD decision or process I'd sell the next day out of dignity and self-respect. Takes a person with integrity and high principles to do that. Good luck.

"A resolution put to the vote of a general meeting must be decided on a show of hands unless a poll is duly demanded in accordance with the articles."

This is what I found online and is the same as what I believe the process to be.
I have never been to an AGM/GM where the poll results have not been read out nor where the poll results have not determined the outcome of the vote.

Contacted the Company & no reply as yet. Have given them until the end of next week & if no response, will take it further!!!!
Also asked if there was a no vote, would CEO & Chairman resign - no answer to that either!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, it was a fait accompli, as the large holders obviously all were onside for the gamble, so it will be for me to resign, when the time is right to sell!!!!!!

The terminology is misleading. Calling it a poll is a bit strange. Implying that only those few people who attended had any votes is just wrong. This is the job of the brokers, I have always believed, to receive the votes of shareholders who aren't attending, count them and those not attending have the chairman of the meeting add in their votes.

Can we move on from Trumpism - dodgy votes etc.. If you want more information, I suggest you wait a few days to see if more is forthcoming, otherwise contact the company or the broker.

If that's the case it would appear there were only 14 investors present at the meeting that were able to vote with 12 for the resolutions and 2 against that would equate more or less to the percentages disclosed in the RNS for the show of hands. What I wish to know is how many votes were cast in advance of the meeting both for and against the resolutions? Otherwise it makes a mockery of the voting process.

Here’s the message I got from the company this morning which if I understand correctly means share votes counted followed by show of hands.

“All of the polled proxy votes were published in the latest RNS, here attached, and on our website under News.

The show of hands recorded at the meeting was For, with 2 hands, Against, no hands”.

If you look back 2 to 3 weeks you will see a lot of detailed good posts about Serenity but at the time a few here didn't want to hear anything positive about the deal.

Its your job so maybe you should be doing that.

I think EOG will go to placing price on Monday, its a huge overhang now and the placing has been done through a bucket shop. Putting the potential aside, its been a dreadful placing for EOG shareholders.

Meanwhile we need to share in the optimism on Serenity, so decent educated posts are welcome, so that we can share what is already known.

Suck it up, is not really helpful or educational or maybe its an indirect description of the poster.

How can the vote go to poll on hands when shareholders are invited to vote through stockbroker mechanisms. What the poll does not disclose is how many votes were in favour and how many were against showing a show of hands and assigning a percentage carrying the vote appears to ignore the votes cast in advance of the meeting. The RNS fails to disclose the total number of votes cast for and those against, this needs to be remedied to allay concerns of unfair reconciliation!

Just added myself to most lth`s who will now get out at the first opportunity, along with hundreds of millions of other shares which will be sold when they get their acceptable profit on the pitiful 1.8p (added millions now in success fees, reported after the fact)!!!!!!!!!!!
Is Oddie the worst CEO on AIM? Perhaps not but i expect he has now earnt a place near the top of the list of plonkers (a suit with nothing in it)!!!!!!!!!!

Can they do this by announcing a poll and then conducting the vote with a show of hands? Is a show of hands still considered to be a poll? Either the no vote was going to block or management were terrified of finding out.
