Ummm how times change?
Earlier price suggestions from the great Jus!
THIS YEAR LOL!
Back in May, 10p within days,
June 30p plus next year.
July between 21p and 30p next year.
Wow and I'm the one who posts drivel and is an idiot!!
Perhaps his 'friends' at Nexen have been advising him again.
Lol.

Yes that's right - 4p to 8p by next Summer on Iolar alone is what I was thinking.

In the meantime we have results and Inishkea CPR to look forward to shortly ...

PVR also announced this morning that drilling Newtongrange is a possibility next year as well

Good post Jus but surely the lolar drill is not until summer 2019?

Nexen/Exxon tie up should stimulate interest in the Porcupine and here is hoping that Iolar gets drilled on schedule. Earliest indication will be contract tender so I hope there are some of us out there keeping an eye on these things.

Meanwhile the interest in Gas supplies to Eire is hotting up and I get the feeling after reading all the various reports that first mover status is needed by all three projects being talked about (2 LNG terminals and an underground storage facility)

Latest is here hxxps://www.independent.ie/business/brexit/brexit-and-uk-site-closure-boosts-gas-storage-project-37402025.html and I believe there is also interest in Kinsale as a storage facility when it dries up but that could be CO2.

All are being spurred on by the decline in Corrib output. Corrib has become such a valuable asset to the Irish in terms of strategic supply as well as the need for gas to supplement any renewable energy projects. Further exploration in and around Corrib is inevitable and if Inishkea is as good as Hugh thinks it is then it will be drilled sooner rather than later.

From 4p here - interest generated by the Iolar drill alone should double this share price (it was sitting at 8p on the back of PVRs Druid well last year) Plus teh back stop of eventually getting permission to put Wressle into production all seems too good to be true as an investment with so little downside and HUGE amount of upside ..

Tweet from Hugh

Great news about ExxonMobil farming into Nexen’s FEL 3/18 on west flank of Porcupine and to drill the Iolar pre-rift prospect in summer 2019. If it finds oil it will de-risk all Europa’s pre-rift prospects hxxp://www.europaoil.com/documents/180710Irishresources.pdf … and give an enormous boost to the basin.

Big news Tommy - thanks for the link. The deal was signed some time ago and approved by the minister last month so interesting that they are only announcing it now. I was beginning to wonder about Iolar but they have still time to sign contracts - the Stena Icemax remains laid up although a lot of her crew are working elsewhere in Stena Drilling at the moment.

Also as a result of the deal Nexen are extending their interest in the Porcupine which is great news.

EOG remain in a closed period at the moment with results due soon ...

CP this was why I asked:
…"It is expected that offers will close around October 2018"...

Around October 2018 - wtf does that mean lol!
So it could run into November or it could already be closed?

Thanks though, by the way.

Was data room closed at end of October or during October?

If you had something material to report, then surely, an RNS should be forthcoming?

Well at least UKOG are doing something and seem to be having some success. We couldn't even get permission to go any further.

Still a doubting thomas as far as Horse Hill goes but there you go what do I know - gushing to the surface indeed - amazing really that they drilled straight through it without noticing anything while they were looking for gas. Hey ho - if Brockham wants to drill horizontal wells then they need our licence area so all is not lost at Holmwood.

Sure but there are other assets being marketed which will not be impacted by that and they should be able to at least comment on - more than …"ongoing negotiations"... of course!!

Re Corrib "When the deal closes before the end of this year" suggests it hasn't closed. Deal with EOG surely won't happen until it has.

Well u never know - they may get something in farm downs?
There has been a bit of talk over on lse about not expecting any news after the self imposed October deadline - but I certainly do not agree - don't highlight such a date and then not report back with regard to interest shown or - you never know firm offers proposed, when that date arrives.

It's disappointing. Not all EOG doing but a mess all the same. This lot could not hit a deadline if they tried. A waste of my money.

GWB, what u on about there's a banged on certainty farm down already done for the Corrib stuff - should have been done what 4 months ago - oh dear hang on a sec - things aint quite gone to that errr 'plan'!!

I did point this out at the time but was accused of posting drivel and a lot of people supported that pov at the time accusing me of 'picking' on people when all I ever was - was polite yet assertive with my conflicting view.
Strange how things 'roll out'?
Now this doesn't mean it will not go ahead but with hindsight those time lines were looking a bit 'drivelly' now eh!!
