So they applied to the CCPC on Tuesday .. the CPCC could determine that it is a non notifiable acquisition and approve it straight away or else enter into a prolonged consulation period through 2 phases and a final report. Big Oil companies and rich Pension Fund I can only guess at which road the bureaucrats will take ...

•In Ireland, production averaged 57 mmcf/d (9,426 boe/d) in Q2 2018, a 7% decrease from the prior quarter due to natural declines and minor plant downtime related to external electricity supply issues. We continue to work closely with Canada Pension Plan Investment Board ("CPPIB") and Shell on the transition of ownership and operations of Corrib from Shell to CPPIB and Vermilion. Transition has progressed well with all technical aspects being ready. We now anticipate receiving final approvals from the necessary authorities and closing of the transaction in the second half of 2018. Although this closing date is later than our original expectation, and will have a modest impact on our booked production, Vermilion will still benefit from all interim period cash flows between January 1, 2017 and closing as a reduction of purchase price.

Vermilion statement July 30th.

Actually they said more than that - the planner said that the OGA basically confirmed that there was no link between Brockham and the Earthquakes (over 100,000 of these magnitude a year around the globe) only problem was that he only received that advice by email last night yet the fackers still wanted more information so asked for deferral. Lady councillor said she studied geology at university but still objected - maybe we should enquire if she passed an exam on it? And General Hall laid into Vonk - totally out of order but symptomatic of his misplaced arrogance.

Anyway back to the Porcupine and Mr O'reilly at providence has stated today that he expects Nexen to be drilling Iolar next year .. so one to look forward to

SCC mostly agreed that a deferral was not an option. The OGA said to be checking Angus activities against local seismic activity so there were no grounds to delay their approval.

CP ffs, you were just posting (derogatively) recently about the 'impatient holders' - one of which I am - and now you're posting this lol?
Didn't think I'd be sticking up for 'them' but give them four months then start complaining - or worrying lol!!

LHAG not as smart as they think they are .. missed several important points completely but I am not going to comment on them here. I would say though that Hugh and the planners have done a good job ... at last I here you say but the goal posts have kept moving and they have responded appropriately.

Latest from LHAG:

Dear Supporters,
Surrey County Council have received three more applications from Europa:
An application to extend the end date of the main drilling permission for another three years beyond the present expiry date of August 7th (this Tuesday), and also to loosen the specification of the Traffic Management Plan.
A new application for the added security fencing and facilities – this time with an expiry date of August 2021. (The permission they got in May this year was granted with the same expiry date as the main permission.)
A new application for the “underground corridor” to replace the existing one which expires on 25 September – again for another three years. (The “underground corridor” is what allows them to drill directly under the centre of Coldharbour village and the church.)
These will be decided by the County Council’s Planning Committee on November 21st, 2018 at the earliest.
The applications and associated Environmental Statement run to thousands of pages, so we can’t yet comment in detail, but two of the areas we will be looking at closely are:

Traffic Management Plan
Europa have had fourteen goes at a TMP since the application was first lodged ten years ago. They are now looking to remove the requirement in the 2015 permission for an “HGV Assembly Point” before the “HGV Holding Area” at Knoll Road, Dorking. This was meant to reduce waiting times for these enormous vehicles in that residential road. They told the 2015 Public Inquiry that it would be “in a layby on the A24 south of Dorking”. Fortunately the Inspector checked and found that it didn’t exist – which was the reason he made details of the assembly point a condition of the permission he granted. Europa have subsequently presented versions of the TMP claiming to have agreement to three further possible locations, increasingly distant from Dorking. In each case it turned out that there was no such agreement with the owners/managers of the sites in question. That’s the obligation they’re trying to get out of. If you live in Knoll Road, tell your neighbours.
If they do get out of it, they still have to get the rest of the Traffic Management Plan through. Unless version 15 is dramatically different from its predecessors, all the other objections that we and you have made to it will remain – not least that it will effectively close the whole road between Dorking and Coldharbour during working hours for a large part of the operating period.

Environmental Statement
We think that this insistence on continuing to treat the applications for the original site and the enlarged site (to include the security fencing and facilities) as separate applications risks never admitting to the true size of the site and the extent of the impacts. Why are they insisting that they are separate and “free-standing” applications? Because the 2015 permission has a condition that explicitly forbids any additional buildings or fencing beyond those then approved.
And then there’s the duration. Continuing to insist that the site will only be fenced off and out of use to the public for eighteen weeks is nonsensical, as identical security fencing has already been in place for over a year (as “permitted development”, without Environmental Impact Assessment) and will apparently remain there until the main development starts – in 2021?
The rational thing to do would be to let the present permission lapse and make a fresh, comprehensive application which is honest about the true size and duration of the whole development – and includes a workable Traffic Management Plan as an integral part of it, not an afterthought. We have made this argument to the County Council, with no success. At first sight it seems that the Environmental Statement does not address these issues.
We will study the applications and come back to you with more information which might help you in making your own representations to SCC. If you want to go through the documentation yourself, it is available on Surrey County Council’s website under the references: SCC Ref 2018/0092/DL, SCC Ref 2018/0093/DL and SCC Ref 2018/0094/DL .

CP you're not becoming impatient are you lol!!??
That ridiculous diagram has been used countless of times and I laughed at it the first time I saw it. I have seem similar internally at a few other oil companies but they had a clear delivery list and time line plus reasoning behind what drove the share price increases!!

Been on holiday and just catching up. Jusmasel why refer the matter to the SoS ONLY AFTER the production permission is heard? Surely the SoS needs to be told what a pigs ear the Local Councillors are making when ruling on these matters whether it be because they "don"t understand " them or they are protecting their seats? (post 7584 on the 1/8/2018 ).
