06/8/2018 14:14 | Been on holiday and just catching up. Jusmasel why refer the matter to the SoS ONLY AFTER the production permission is heard? Surely the SoS needs to be told what a pigs ear the Local Councillors are making when ruling on these matters whether it be because they "don"t understand " them or they are protecting their seats? (post 7584 on the 1/8/2018 ). | 4sta
06/8/2018 12:23 | as mentioned on lse, page 39, 50% chance of £1.45 a share However chart starts at 100% chance of 0p... come on Hugh use some common sense if your going to highlight silly price charts | currypasty

03/8/2018 16:04 | Yes, it’s not right somehow, the share price isn’t getting any help from the Weald news. | rayrac
03/8/2018 14:55 | GWB yes Tuscany. My mates fabulous villa!! I don't understand what is upbeat news lately? Wressle will get sorted with production permissions? Ireland, here's hoping?! Last chance saloon if we don't hear anything in six months but (even) I am slightly hopeful 're Corrib/Slyne assets. | dunderheed
03/8/2018 11:42 | Encouraging news from Horse Hill with the Portland flowing .. with a good read across to Holmwood conventional targets ... | jusmasel99

02/8/2018 13:24 | It worries me that Dunderheed has not responded to anything upbeat. He must be on his holidays. | guesswhosback
02/8/2018 12:40 | Spangle - agree with all you say - I have no worries that all will be resolved and the only significant matter is timing. Meanwhile - this little oil and gas exploration company with a present market cap of around £13m is currently trying to farm out significant prospects in the porcupine basin south west of Ireland. They have been doing this for some time now but the difference now is that the new entrants in the basin (mostly majors) have now obtained and processed their own 3D over their own licences. They have access to our processed data now and will be comparing theirs to ours. With all wells drilled to date in the porcupine basin indicating a working hydrocarbon system that part of the exploratory risk is pretty much excluded now. A recent announcement from Equinor that they are preparing to make an FID in 2020 for a $6b investment into Bay du Nord on a 300m barrel discovery shows that the commercial aspect of discovery and production in a less hostile environment than Bay du Nord must be in the region of 200m barrels and ALL of our current prospects are in that range - some multiples of that taking the high mark. Who could put a value on our Mcap with just one farm out in the basin? The more wells that get drilled the more likely it is that one will hit it big. And worth remembering that a farm in now will come with a drill commitment not as per Kosmos where only Seismic acquisition was required. Confirmation of our prospects from those that have chosen to use our data room will surely be at board level now for a decision to be made. We could hear sooner rather than later and you can't sell on good news if you don't have anything to sell. Hop on board ... the Number 12 bus is ready to depart (I think I said that before) | jusmasel99
02/8/2018 09:27 | Jus - but is local really local? There have been oil and gas developments in the East Midlands for decades. Proper planning has been followed, and from my experiences there, most people were more curious about the oil developments than anti. Then the national anti-frac movement comes along, and all of a sudden councillors with no technical knowledge who previously saw the benefits of oil development to their area are over-ruling their own planning committee in a bid to look green. Then claiming the petrol expenses to attend the meeting - how ironic is that? Would this have happened without any influence from outside North Lincs. It's just a ridiculous situation where the national government supports and issues licences for oil exploration and development, the companies in good faith spend money on preparing prospects and carrying out studies, and then a few locals can overrule their own appointed specialists and veto it [OK I know this was about site remediation, but it's the situation that's ridiculous] To illustrate this - we went to visit Hardstoft-1 last month. The original well is behind a garden centre in the owner's back garden. He spent 20 minutes chatting about the history of the well, like it was an old relative. Well worth detouring to have a gander if you're near J28-J29 of the M1. | spangle93

02/8/2018 08:41 | Democracy at local or national level? A topical debate given the local voting patterns on Brexit ... many factors affect the way elected politicians vote .. but at local level self preservation in my opinion dominates .. | jusmasel99
02/8/2018 08:06 | How to alter opinions in N Lincs? I follow your meaning that it should be taken out of the Council hands, but I also accept that planning decisions need to be democratic. So should it be democracy at the local or national level? | itsriskythat
02/8/2018 07:52 | Jus, up early with fighting talk! | itsriskythat
02/8/2018 07:30 | If the new Planning Framework is applied correctly then the SoS should now withdraw the right to hear Mineral Planning Applications from North Lincs and that in a way would benefit the councillors who can declare that they had nothing to do with the decision that ultimately comes our way. However it is a dangerous game because that would open up North Lincolnshire as a hot bed for Fracking | jusmasel99
01/8/2018 16:25 | Easy for the councillors to decline it because they know that eventually the SOS will approve and they can then say to their constituents that's its not their fault so please keep voting for me!! Always going to be the case - just pass the buck so they don't have to take responsibility. | cheek212
01/8/2018 16:20 | The absurdity of all this is highlighted by this conundrum .. this website suggests that if you are unhappy with a council APPROVING a controversial application you can ask the Secretary of State directly to call it in .. hxxps://www.planning Well lets say North Lincs decides to approve the production application .. does anyone actually believe that the swampies would encourage the SoS to call it in ??? | jusmasel99
01/8/2018 16:03 | We intend to appeal this decision without delay and will begin preparing documentation on receipt of the Committee's decision notice." | currypasty
01/8/2018 15:58 | Yes it could go back to the inspector eventually but pretty difficult for the inspector to refuse when he basically set out the conditions that needed to be met for his approval .. so begs the question why would North Lincs challenge such an appeal? Logic and common sense surely must win the day but referring the matter to the SoS in the first instance may be the way forward (only after the production permission is heard) | jusmasel99
01/8/2018 15:44 | As the vote was lost unanimously, there's a hurdle to climb before Wressle gets approved. | itsriskythat |
