EUA has awful assets. The only resource that it claims to be to a JORC standard is Nittis-Kumuzhya-Travyanaya (NKT). This is a mine where the Russian state mined all the best bits from 1935 to 1990 and then closed.

You are already familiar with Horizonte Minerals Araguaia project. If you go and read HZM's resource statement and compare it to EUA's you will see:

(a) the quantity of nickel at Araguaia is significantly greater than at NKT,

(b) the concentration grade of the nickel at Araguaia is significantly greater than at NKT

(c) Horizonte specify in their resource report that anything with a concentration grade of below 0.90% is considered "waste" (which is a typical cut-off point). The grade at NKT is just 0.28% - hence literally, NKT's 0.28% Ni grade is worse than waste.

And we both know what has happened to HZM!

Just to potentially alay a few theories I gather the mine is largely under care and maintenance so the labour costs are being managed tightly and further unquantified tax refunds are due in addition to the recently awarded tax refund and they had a decent amount of cash in the bank as at 31st December 2023. They produced a DFS at the end of 2023. They also have a decent JORC resouce and some unquantified unsold metal I believe, They are also actively trying to sell all or part of the assets and they have recently sorted the share certificate issues.

Please feel free to advise if I am incorrect I do not mean to be accused of ramping but it is a very tight ship following AIM rules etc. So that is all I know.

I have no idea what caused the sudden surge in volume.

But those are a few of the reasons I hold a small speculative holding.

The big price is yet to come and some one knows it, massive stake building over the last few weeks and don't forget we raised at 26p a while back. Until we get to the raised price 26p I don't see any need for another speeding ticket..

seagreen - I have a sensible high value, high yielding portfolio and generally not interested in trading dodgy stocks (ie most of AIM). I only react sometimes when I see the usual suspects trying to lure the naive in on their latest pump & dump.
Who knows, maybe there is something happening here (based on volumes) but doubt it as there has been dodgy activity trading wise in the past here too. IMHO of course.
