Hedley, the point being that almost all of EROS' revenues from Grand Masti will fall into the period up to 30/9/13, so should ensure that this H1 is reasonable at the least.

Grand Masti has now earned over 100 crore in India alone - with worldwide collections on top - and is a blockbuster for EROS:

The 30/9/13 interims should benefit nicely from this success.

Everyone jumping ship, seems pretty unloved at the moment! Anyone got a line back to the AGM which I believe is today?

Still no movement on NYSE. Our progress is painfully slow and I don't see a justification for it.

"Grand Masti Crosses 100 Crore Mark Worldwide At The Box Office
1 min ago by Koimoi.com Team

Grand Masti has finally managed to cross the much expected 100 crore mark worldwide. The film on its 3rd Sunday earned 2 crores at the domestic box office and with that the film's total domestic collections now stands in the range of 92.65 crores.

The film in the overseas market has so far made 7.40 crores total. The film's overseas collections have been low due to the film procuring for itself a ban in the G.C.C due to its adult content. However, finally in its 3rd week run at the box office, the film has made a gross earning of 100.05 crores worldwide.

The euphoric news was confirmed when the film's scriptwriter Milap Zaveri wrote a celebratory tweet, "And #GrandMasti does HUNDRED Crores worldwide! Woohoo!!! My 1st 100cr film! Thank u audience for helping us create HISTORY! Love you'll! :)"

Actor Aftab Shivdasani too, joined in the celebration. He tweeted, "Woke up to the grandest news ever! #GrandMasti does 100cr worldwide in 17 days!! Such an amazing feeling! Thank u audience!! Overjoyed!! :))"

With this, Grand Masti has managed to make a gain of 61.65 crores in India on its earnings, that takes its profit rate up to 199% at the Domestic Box Office."

Do we know if there is going to be an AGM this year or are they hoping to push through de-listing prior to any AGM?

Thanks. I just wanted clarification. I did notice the dollar issue and dip in profits.

Here's hoping the Americans focus on the forecasts then for a bumper rise upon listing.

FIM, simply read the thread and all the info is there :o))

Recent posts have outlined the forecasts for this year which put EROS on a P/E of only 10. Last year's profit dip is expected to be a one-off due largely to the release schedule for some films slipping into this year, and also to the rise in the dollar.

Above all, look at the value of the content library, the recent game-changing deals with HBO, Sony etc, the EV/EBITDA ratio (more revealing than the P/E)....

According to the header above EROS has a p/e ratio of 18.51. I see a similar value on III. How can it be justified in that case that EROS has a p/e of around 10, as stated in that previous article??

Also, as the american peers are on a p/e ratio of around twenty this negates the thought that this could double upon listing in NY.

Perhaps it is the recent fall in profits that knocked the p/e ratio so much. Unfortunate at this time, considering the wait for the new listing.

Some recent posts suggest a post listing equivalent price circa £4. What is the justification for this??

Grand Mssti is now a "superhit" with 81 crore in India alone. More interestingly, in pure profit terms it's a huge winner due to its low cost:

"Grand Masti Surpasses The Profit Incurred By Shootout At Wadala
1 hour ago by Koimoi.com Team

Grand Masti has run at the box office for merely 10 Days at a stretch and the film has already earned for itself the status of a Super-Hit. Made on a slim budget of 31 crores, the film with its cumulative income of 81 crores has already made a profit of 50 crores at the domestic box office.

The film has recorded a profit rate of 161% and with that it has breezed past John Abraham starrer Shootout At Wadala which made a profit of 138% at the box office.

Now with a substantial profit in its kitty, the film is eyeing to surpass Jolly LLB's profit rate that stood at 167%. Going by the film's smooth run at the box office, the film can surely be expected to go places in terms of garnering profit for its producers!"

He posted it on September 10th, so it's likely the price was around 260p or so.

The forecasts are for 26.3p EPS this year and 28.4p EPS next year, so this ties in with his comments about the "lowly" P/E of under 10 and the doubling from here to a P/E of "around 20".

What was the price when that last note was issued. I don't think he meant double from here?

Grand Masti has had a wonderful midweek run and is now up to 67 crore in India alone. it looks set for another good weekend and a run-up towards being a 100 crore blockbuster:

This guy thinks the share price could double on the US listing:

hxxp://valueshare.co.uk/current-portfolio/eros-international-eros/shares-jump-eros-international-gives-big-hint-usa-listing/310/

"Shares jump as EROS International gives big hint on USA Listing

Eros today released two pieces of news that hint that the long running saga of its USA listing could finally be about to happen.

Firstly they announced an amendment to its registration to the United States Security and Exchange commission (SEC). It does not give much information, however it does mention a further announcement concerning the timing of the offering and the expected AIM delisting will be made in due course.

Secondly it released very basic quarterly results for the quarter ending 30th of June. This is a probably a requirement of the US listing as companies on the NYSE are expected to provide quarterly results.

Revenue and gross profit decreased as fewer films were released in the quarter, however Profit before tax did increase sharply from $4.88 million in 2012 to $11.97 million in 2013.

In the same announcement as the quarterly results they announced that their CEO, Jyoti Deshpande, has entered into a new employment agreement which entitles her to receive a 4% stake in the company and a further allotment of shares valued at $2 million once the NYSE listing has been finalised. This seems like a large allotment, however if Jyoti Deshpande can pull the NYSE listing off investors will probably not begrudge her these shares.

The company currently trades at a lowly forecast P/E ratio of under 10. This is very low for a growth company which is not solely reliant on finding new theatrical hits as it has an extensive back catalogue and syndication deals. The recent HBO deal will also provide cash flow and profit at very little additional investment. I believe that with a NYSE the company should be trading at a P/E of around 20 which is similar to peers listed in the States. This suggests a potential doubling of the current share price.

I will continue to hold and eagerly await further news and developments"

Good news for EROS that the dollar is weakening, and interesting to see the share price in India finally moving up nicely.

The latter may be more to do with Grand Masti continuing to rule the box-office in midweek and looking like a 100 crore blockbuster now:
