18/9/2013 12:20 | >>Doyou remember which uk broker will accept the NYSE listed shares?>> There were several - I'll try to find the posts. I went with Stocktrade (an offshoot of Brewin Dolphin) in the end Edit: If you download a block of posts (e.g. and search on 'zho' you'll find some comments on charges. has a summary of charges from 6 or 7 brokers. Watch out for the forex charges - it looks as if these can vary significantly. | zho
18/9/2013 12:18 | to be honest I don't understand why they can't offer a NYSE listed share via CREST. I hold various US listed shares in my Selftrade account but aren't able to hold EROS | boonboon
18/9/2013 12:17 | zho Doyou remember which uk broker will accept the NYSE listed shares? I've currently got the shares in certificate form. | boonboon
18/9/2013 12:10 | Boonboon, That's right. When Eros said they were going to list in the US a year or two ago I had to get a share certificate from my broker because they didn't deal in US stocks, and then find a broker who did. There was a fair bit of discussion about the merits, demerits and costs of various brokers at that time. | zho
18/9/2013 11:49 | Holding in the US is going to be a pain as it won't be on Crest | boonboon
18/9/2013 11:33 | I just bought back in after a long break...........seve I expect the trail of news to be a positive influence for the share price and of course the transfer to the US. GLA. | foot in mouth

18/9/2013 10:38 | ok so I currently hold EROS shares in certicate form. Will I get a new share certicate after the NYSE listing? and is so I assume I can transfer this into a nominee account. | boonboon

18/9/2013 10:17 | Here we go - the NYSE listing will happen "no earlier than 18 October 2013", with more announcements to follow..... | rivaldo
18/9/2013 07:40 | EROS India have announced the following re Grand Masti FYI: hxxp://www.moneycont "Eros International''s Grand Masti receives unanimous thumbs up at the Box Office with Rs. 55.74 crore gross worldwide" Eros International Media has announced a sensational opening weekend of Grand Masti at he box office with an impressive Rs 55.74 crore gross worldwide. With this, the film has also become the fourth biggest opener of 2013 at the domestic box office. etc" | rivaldo
17/9/2013 09:08 | Grand Masti looks like being a worldwide hit - overseas collections are big too: hxxp://entertainment "Grand Masti First Weekend Collection At Overseas Box Office Posted by: Shekhar Updated: Tuesday, September 17, 2013, 12:51 [IST] Grand Masti, which has had a great time in the domestic market, has also done wonderful business at the Overseas Box Office in the first weekend. The Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani and Riteish Deshmukh starrer has topped the collection has topped the collection chart in key foreign markets like USA and UKThe Indra Kumar-directed film did not have any new competitor in the UK, while old releases like Shuddh Desi Romance, Chennai Express and Satyagraha were running in limited screens there. So Grand Masti has collected Rs 80.14 lakhs (£ 80,037) on 33 screens at the UK Box Office in the first weekend. Considering its small screen count, it is great collection for the movie. Grand Masti has also done superb business in America, where it did not face off with any new Hindi movie. It has collected Rs 1.41 crores ($ 2,23,222) from 64 screens at the USA Box Office in the first weekend. The film also had a grand release in a few other foreign market, where it has raked in another Rs 1.11 crore nett in its opening weekend. The Vivek-Aftab-Riteish starrer has raked in total of Rs 3.32 crores ($ 5,25,000) at the international Box Office in the first week. Grand Masti did not release in UAE. But trade experts feel that its release in this country could have taken its overseas collection beyond Rs 5 crores. | rivaldo
16/9/2013 11:01 | Low volume on this latest pullback - probably just a few profit takers. There should be a decent bounce once the small amount of selling subsides. | protean
16/9/2013 10:13 | Grand Masti is a "huge hit" already with 40 crore in the bank in its first weekend alone - this against a low 35 crore cost: hxxp://www.koimoi.co "The film managed to score a weekend of over 40 crores which is just superb, considering the fact that it doesn't feature anyone from the Top-10 actors in the industry. In the process it has left behind the record of Raaz The Mystery Continues (36 crores) and The Dirty Picture (30 crores), both top scoring adult films. While the record of first day and first weekend is pretty much in the kitty of this Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani starrer, there are also good expectations of first week record falling into it's kitty as well. The film is a huge hit, and how!" | rivaldo
16/9/2013 09:18 | Just go for it already! Why are we still waiting? | polythene
16/9/2013 08:02 | IPO market on fire, Rupee strengthening, HBO deal going gangbusters, great slate of films coming through............. | czar
13/9/2013 08:18 | You might be interested to see that Barchart.com have EROS as a 100% buy see link. No guarantee it will go up of course but on the balance of probabilities... | sumitos
12/9/2013 11:24 | You may be right Riva. I hope so. It's just that for me it began to exhibit a trend i saw in Orosur Mining. That being the great benefits that were supposed to provide cream on the top of earnings got eroded by rising costs at which point a company comes to rely on them rather than benefit. Having said that i did like the HBO deal and I wouldn't be surprised to see the parent company take a large holding in EROS either at the float or soon after. So there may be upside still. Problem for me though is that in the long term it's the companies trading that counts rather than who owns it or where they are listed. | jtcod
12/9/2013 09:25 | JTC, imo the recent HBO deal in particular is a real game-changer for EROS' digital arm and revenues and is forecast to have a tremendous effect on profits (and presumably cash flow) from the monetisation of EROS' content library with minimal associated expenditure. And this financial year should be a very good one for the film business with a string of high profile movies about to be released - presumably pre-sold to reduce risk in the usual way. The IPO should be attractive to the USA markets given the tie-ups with HBO, Sony etc, and the recent entries into Bollywood markets by US studios. Good luck of course (I'll see thee on IAE, GBO, TPL et al I'm sure), but the likelihood now is that the IPO will go ahead, especially given relatively stable markets. | rivaldo
12/9/2013 09:19 | I also sold out mid 220s for similar reasons. Around 20% return in 3 years, adequate I suppose. It was the continually missed forecasts that got to me in the end... and because of the loss of trust in management, I was also doubtful about the NY listing news ever happening. Too bad, we move on... well done rivaldo et al. | edmundshaw
12/9/2013 08:55 | Should have read 'Capex continues at high levels' btw | jtcod
12/9/2013 08:52 | Just for the record I sold out in the low 200p's. timing as good as ever. ;-) I still believe my decision was correct though. The wonderful opportunities of digital transfer and brand placement revenues to name but two have rather been eaten by overheads. Capex continues at high levels. For me the story is not delivering as expected but the market is ignoring the figures and the stock has become merely a play on the US listing. This is for gamblers IMO because in the cold light of day the fact that the management tried to list on forecasts that were not subsequently delivered on and the dismal financial trend of the current figures will be a hard sell IMO. I think it will either be discounted or pulled depending on how desperate the management are for more cash. I could be wrong of course but investment is about probabilities and in the light of recent history and current figures the probability of my being wrong is not at a level to be investable IMO. Best of luck to every holder. I made a profit but I am disappointed because this is a strong brand. I hate selling strong brands because they are so rare. | jtcod
