05/9/2018 06:59 | Just found this Equiniti racked up strong gains as Liberum reiterated its 'buy' rating on the stock and said the company's ongoing roadshow and capital markets day later this month should act as a catalyst for a reversal of much of the recent share price decline. | mattboxy
04/9/2018 22:37 | Agree. Volume is high but not huge (pre-bid, but need to say something huge any way).It may be some shorts closing and I guess we may know more on/by thursday if someone is stakebuilding and Mondays action's need to be declared. | pete160
04/9/2018 18:43 | Nobody seems to know anything either that or no one is listening or maybe no one is interested ?Strange for a company of this size | mattboxy
04/9/2018 10:27 | Well it's certainly getting some buying for some reason. Is it shorts closing or something else? | mattboxy
04/9/2018 07:56 | Interesting thoughts I wonder who might fancy bidding? I guess it could be just rerating back to where it was but a 3-00+ bid would be a good start to the dayNo premarket RNS though | mattboxy
03/9/2018 22:51 | I agree. I've not heard anything but a bump up on good volume suggests someone knows something.Certainly the share price has been kept (artificially?) low for a long time which seems to be increasingly common pre bid these days (have had the same thing with zpg, esur and shp). Then when a 'premium ' comes along at levels seen a year ago, the bidder makes out that's a good thing! | pete160
03/9/2018 20:21 | Interesting last 30 minutes anyone heard anything?? | mattboxy
13/8/2018 14:58 | I notice the short positions are closing quickly. Not many better buys in the market except possibly CAML. | andyj
12/8/2018 12:40 | A different option here is to buy SEC whose main investment, by some margin, is EQN and they are trading at a 15% discount to NAV. | andyj
01/8/2018 13:51 | I like EQN but sold out in March when I thought price had got too far ahead and have since been waiting for the right time to buy back 20,000 units. I was quite impressed listening to the recent results webcast and it sounds like Board is not going to get hooked on the drug of deducting non operating costs to claim progress in the form of underlying EPS. But the slide continues. Does anybody think there is substance in any of the Panmure red flags? | martindjzz
31/7/2018 10:51 | In total, that's 9 Directors/Senior Managers buying shares since the results and we can now buy at a lower price than they did should we wish too! Although BlackRock look to have decreased their stake a little. | ochs
27/7/2018 17:43 | Equiniti serves as the company registrar and pension administrator to many of the top blue-chips in the footsie. A major part of their job is making sure that companies are well run. I bought in just after the IPO and have about 12K. I regard them as one of my most reliable holdings. One might wonder whether the recent fall involved a bit of monkey business by some market makers. In any case I shall treat the missus to a meal tonight and rest easy over the weekend! | bruce j
27/7/2018 11:39 | I'm in for 3k - haven't been in these for about a year or so. Don't like coming in after the 10 percent rise but looks like things have bounced off around 210 | scooper72
27/7/2018 11:04 | Someone just bought almost 8 million shares - likely to be one or more investment companies. Very positive. | trustedinvestor
27/7/2018 10:46 | Still some way to go to reverse the recent "Fake news!" impact, but 13-15% in one day (even in only a few hours of trading as is the case now) is always impressive. :) | vacendak
27/7/2018 10:31 | Rotten eggs on your faces Panmure - there is absolutely no justification for them to put the ridiculous sell recommendation on Equiniti. I have always known Equiniti as a very strong performing company with a rosy future. The interim results speak for themselves. Strong buy. | trustedinvestor
27/7/2018 10:26 | No note from Panmure this morning! | newbold120
27/7/2018 08:31 | The early market seems to be reassured, although the relief rally is softening already. Perhaps this is the start of a claw back of the sell off from recent months (some way to go though) or perhaps attract a bidder at these levels ? | pete160
27/7/2018 08:29 | Strong market response, should now hopefully recover closer to 300p. | its the oxman
27/7/2018 07:41 | Six month report (to June 30th): Quick look on the opening sections: Unless there has been something pretty serious between the end of June and now, things do not look bad. Debt is up (I guess due to the acquisition of Wells Fargo's business) but the leverage remains at 2.8x. Dividend is up too, if things had gone wrong that would have been cut. Maybe the skeletons are buried further down the report, I did not have the time to read too deep into it. | vacendak
24/7/2018 14:36 | 4 institutions 4.35% short in total. I was interested as it looked cheap until I researched the short positions. woody | woodcutter
11/7/2018 15:37 | Chart support at 200p | seagullsslimjim
11/7/2018 14:59 | There is nothing wrong with the business but the first is that the market is down on the services sector, and other traditional business service stocks have been under pressure. The next thing is that pure domestic stocks - for instance M&S and BT - are being sold which is linked to UK confidence during Brexit. It's a buying opportunity for topping up. | trustedinvestor
11/7/2018 14:20 | Just not sure what could go wrong in a big way here? It seems like quite a resilient business as far as I can see. | trytotakeiteasy |
