Agreed mjb17, Leovegas and Entain don’t overlap much at all. 35% of LV business is in unregulated markets where Entain has no exposure, 49% is in the Nordics where Entain is small with only a little exposure in Sweden.

Leovegas doesn’t have its own sports book technology either.

The latest rumour is that the UK white paper will be released between 1 - 2 weeks after the local elections.

Between the two of them they are buying lots of tech and
competition, if they merge and soing off betmgm they would
have a monster company with synergies.

And why should it create hostilities - this is business, it should create respect imo. As far as I understand it ENT have already decided to go it alone in Canada - a territory if I'm not mistaken quite close to America.

Why shouldn't MGM open a business and go for it in Europe - good healthy competition and enhances a consolidation justification - as if there needs to be one, with two companies in a JV with the probable market leader in the largest regulated domestic territory in the world.

MGM and ENT will want to come together at some point. It wont before both sides see what the UK Govt have in store for ENT.

Buying lv to unsettle ent, this pushing a lower
offer 2000p to be possibly accepted, unless our
genius ceo has something else up her sleeve for us.
Like sell the betmgm stake for $billions and take the
rest of the world on as I have mentioned.

Also let's take MGM share price v ENT for the last 3 months MGM - range about 38-48, currently 42.5 , roughly in the middle ENT - range 1400 - 1700, low end but not the bottom.Hardly a dramatic difference in share price fortunes, especially considering the significant differences in the business mix of the two companies.Try and get a little perspective.CM

I accept what you are saying but the only difference
that counts is we are British with even British hedge funds
against us and mgm are AMERICAN.

The sooner mgm buy us with cash and shares the better, then our
US shares will rocket.

Get a deal done and get this ceo gone.

Listening to BH.. MGM share price is linked to any takeover.. Ent may well sell for £30..implies MGM need to be $62.5..10 times multiple ebitda for LV cash.. Similar to 18 quid for Ent. Someway to go.. But MGM bullish and all time MGM stock high is c99.. So long term not much changed maybe

Yes, but when a competitor offers £26 a share and was talk of
a increased offer of £28 coming, dropping to £15 is bizarre.
Makes it easier for mgm to bid and get it through, as Warren
Buffett states never bet against America, especially as here
when you have ANTI BRITISH LONDON BASED MW against us.

Mgm should take advantage of the weak share price,
they would also make themselves far bigger and
much more difficult to be bought by another.
