06/3/2003 16:30 | Doesn't trade this one does it? No institutions hold at notifiable levels and with only 66M shares in issue goes up and down like a yo-yo for seemingly no reason - profit warnings excepted. Feel sort of morally grubby like a spreadbetter. If war with Iraq makes the Oil market nervous and increases prices then this one goes straight back up. | archangel gabriel
06/3/2003 13:35 | Holy moley, I certainly didn't see that coming. Took the opportunity to double my holding at 215p. | thamestrader
06/3/2003 13:11 | Well if Archangel Gabriel is positive , thats good enough for me .....heaven can wait . | mythbuster
06/3/2003 11:45 | Fall a bit OTT - this was below 10PE before the fall so it wasn't overpriced to begin with. Guess Iraq might keep it low but looks pretty good for eventual rise back above the 300p over the course of this month. I've just bought a few. | archangel gabriel
06/3/2003 11:16 | All a bit quiet on this BB but not on the price , might be oversold at 235 anyone any views......anyone out there??!!! | mythbuster
13/12/2002 11:49 | mentioned today on oilbarrel At todays price £3.50 they yield about 3% | djalan
08/12/2002 19:17 | I've been looing at this stock as its one of the 10 top holdings of a Fund of mine, SVM UK Opportunities Fund. Looks a meat and bones company all right. I'll certainly buy for my own portfolio on any further weakness OR on stabilisation around the current price. | hectorp
05/12/2002 10:00 | All in all, a bit of a damp squib really. I'm sticking with them, they're sound as a pound, well respected in the industry, and they're BRITISH. | thamestrader
04/12/2002 11:01 | Today's results (with that word 'warned' in amongst) haven't attracted buyers. Premarket mark-up by one MM, but two others subsequently gone lower. | m.t.glass

04/10/2002 14:46 | Things got so bad that they came out with a reassuring trading statement. And I picked up a handful at 347p. Am I talking to myself here? | thamestrader
21/5/2002 17:41 | Some messy selling today. | stealth117
05/4/2002 00:45 | Being a novice, can anyone explain to me whether it's a good or bad thing when the spread is big, eg buying price £5.00, and selling price £4.80. What affects this? | edgark
01/3/2002 11:40 | Got out yesterday at 482p, this rally seems to be faltering. Still watching, and I daresay I'll be back in later/cheaper. | thamestrader
26/2/2002 16:16 | I'm glad to see someone else follows them. I've watched them climb to £6 twice now, here's hoping for number 3. | whynot
26/2/2002 09:44 | Bought at 388p, now at 448p. Happy just talking to myself. | thamestrader
13/9/2000 01:50 | To the top. Expro looking good - I'm getting interested. | mad mac
08/8/2000 10:05 | Mad Mac, Just trying to respond to the plea in various threads for more stock related postings. Turns out to be a waste of time, doesn't it? Expro shares are up 20p (3.9%) today on a paltry volume of 20K odd :-) The share had a high of 634p last October so I see no reason from the chart why there shouldn't be some way to go yet. Also holding Lasmo since February - although nicely in profit, it is getting frustrating, isn't it? hawkeye | hawkeye
08/8/2000 00:24 | Spotted in the 16 June edition of IC as a buy, I bought into Expro at 450p in mid July. They may be of interest to those who like steady climbers. They manage oil and gas wells, from exploration through to development and production. After a poor year last year when the oil price was falling, estimates for the next two years are for a healthy 20% rise in eps in each year. Estimates that the majors will increase capital spending by 10% this year and 15-20% next year should leave Expro well placed. About 88% od the shares are held by institutions and directors. They have a very good website with lots of investor information at Trading volume is pretty minimal at the moment, but despite this the shares have just broken out of a trading range of about 325-425 which dates back to May of last year. Here's what the chart looks like. Some TA may like to comment, please: | hawkeye
07/8/2000 20:36 | now if only you'd posted when it was 450! seriously, looks good for you, definite break out and all that, no idea about the fundamentals. I'm holding LSMR for similar reasons but it doesn't seem to have broken out yet :¬( | mad mac |
