22/10/2017 09:45 | Statement of Accounting Policies For the Year Ended 31 March 2017 Going concern The Directors consider that the Company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future, which is supported by the cashflow forecasts prepared to 30 September 2018 and that it is therefore appropriate to adopt the going concern basis in preparing its financial statements. | harrissen
22/10/2017 09:17 | peterpowell, it is common knowledge that traders and day traders in particular lose most of the time. Just put '95% traders lose' in your search engine and you will get page after page of agreements with this. Here are two to be going on with. As for placings. In my opinion there will be no placing - there is no need for it at the moment all the bases are covered financially and if the gas flows we will be in receipt of payments from the buyers as soon as the auctions take place. Then you have the futures market as well so they can sell gas that is still in the ground once the flow is tested. But like you if there is a placing without good reason I would be worried about the flow test results being poor. On the other hand if they find gas in large quantities but need to rework the well to get it out a placing would be a necessity imo. | harrissen
22/10/2017 07:41 | harrissen where do you get your info that 95% of traders lose money? Do investors not gamble on the direction a share will go also. I invest and trade nothing wrong with doing one or the other or both. but i can tell you one thing, i have made more money over the years trading than sitting on investments for years. Now we are both invested here, if you found out that this was having a placing would you sell? well i would. There was a time i would blindly sit back and do nothing. I have been trading HNR i am out now as i believe they will do a placing there, there need is a lot more than here imo.I believe they will do a placing here at some point. But hope its after the well results at a much higher price.I have no problems with companies doing placing if the money is spent the right way. What annoys me is when companies dilute just before results, after they have told the world what great results they are expecting. One thing is sure, both of these companies look very promising. Lets see how this plays out this week. good luck. | peterpowell21
22/10/2017 00:35 | If investors only traded on inside info how come 95% of them finish up skint. No, the traders finish up skint because they try to guess the direction the market will move. What they fail to realise is the investor is the market. When one group is selling another group is buying so the buyers lose. And so it goes on until almost everyone is a loser over time. | harrissen

21/10/2017 12:53 | harrisen How do you get that traders made any money here yesterday. Have a look at the chart for yesterday,no one bought and sold and made a profit thats for sure. Shorters would have made money, but would anyone really think it was worth the risk to short this close to news. No it looks like forward selling to me, i hate to say it.Or is it just people selling as they dont want to hold for the results. we will see in the next few day. | peterpowell21
21/10/2017 12:17 | showme01, Traders hold the price down by selling to gain a point or two every time the share price moves up. If long termers are doing it as well they are shooting themselves in the foot. Look at yesterday, the share price should have gained 5 points at least following the announcement that the flow testing was about to begin but instead we finished up lower than when it opened. The only winners are the MMs. . It is a proven fact that 95% of traders lose in the long run. I think the traders on this BB should bear that in mind when they are boasting about their 'quick two grand' trade. You never get told about how the 'quick two grand' was lost on the next trade or how many more two grand's was lost trying to get it back. | harrissen

21/10/2017 08:39 | SP reacts to supply and demand. I've only got a few in EME these days but I know quite a few long term holders that have over 1m shares. That is over £200k in real money so I don't blame anyone for top slicing and banking a profit. I don't blame people selling in the late 20s and topping up in the 17s and 18s. Everyone here is here to make money and no other reason so whether they trade, top up, top slice or sell the lot, it's all about making money and plenty here finally have made money and lots in quite a few cases. I salute you ;-)) Quite sure next years golf will be Portugal or Spain, so Bluehooper, you won't be the only one flying in for a great couple of days :-) Hopefully Toon will let me have a seat on his chartered private jet.lol Bit controversial but assuming the share price doing very well next year, I think we should invite the BoD of EME to join us and gear the trip abroad around the next AGM for convenience for them. Thoughts?? | ![]() showme01
