I'm going to be honest with you, I quite like sushi and I'm normally a kebab and masala fish with chips and chilli mayo (salad on the fish) kind of fellow. NAI

odillon - for every buy there's a sell - true but mms have to make the difference when there are no sellers (or buyers)

According to another site one transaction is for £15,950 and the other is for £15,000. One of the transactions is for 5 million shares and the other is 5.8 million shares. It's hard to know what happened. Maybe someone had over £30,000 to spend but wasn't able to get a one deal transaction and their first purchase bumped up the price of the second one.

I suppose the bottom line is that for every purchase there is a sale. I'm hoping that the incremental differences of transactions such as these pale into insignificance when we get a big big boost on GSA ratification day.

The CNOOC claim against EME will hinge on the terms of the contract and whether or not the only penalty for not drilling Topaz by the deadline was losing the license. As it stands we do not know whether there is a valid claim for anything else against EME or not.

I have no enthusiasm for Topaz. A broken relationship with CNOOC. TK's saying that Jade looked to be one of the highest impact wells scheduled for 2022 globally and then that came to nothing. Gaffney Cline having set a lower chance of success for Topaz than for Jade. We were told that any success with Jade would de-risk Topaz, so presumably nothing at Jade increases the Topaz risk, so the likely success rate may now be lower for Gaffney Cline. It was previously a 30% chance of success for Topaz - so a 70% chance of another Jade.

But I am enthusiastic about Mako and very much hope the GSA will be ratified soon and that there is a healthy distribution to shareholders.

People are starting to work out what's happening here. Nortrust increasing stake and I'm told will continue to do so.As soon as sale of EME licence goes through, TK will be gone. Vote of no confidence is coming. New board and potential new opportunities with cash in bank. CNOOC matter won't be an issue.

Looks like they are buying them in the market right now, I would not be surprised if they are building a position above 5%.

Let's face it EME stock is trading near all time lows, market value only £3.5m, everyone knows if the stake sale goes through that market cap could double or treble in a flash.

The other aspect is Nortrust would have a material say in where the cash goes, maybe they will be lobbying it should be returned to shareholders !
