28/4/2022 08:27 | recent well results from a number of companies that have bigged the CoS up ahead of the actual result have clearly demonstrated that even with the best research in the world, there is no substitute for the actual drill. Caveat emptor. I have experienced a number of disappointing drill results, several with EME, and one with TXP which was 'the best well results I have ever seen in 30 years' according to theCEO Paul Baay, and that was after it had been drilled. It tested water! Curry, agreed the gas clouds got many of us in EME very excited, and clouded our judgement - pun intended!! I at least took about 15% off the table and sold small amounts into the EME rise to do so. I diversified into a number of other stocks from Nov 21, mainly I have bought Coro, one of our partners in Duyung. My reckoning from pre Dec 21 was that if we are thinking how much Duyung is worth to EME, surely it should be worth an awful lot more to Coro as they have 15% and had c. £6-7mln market cap at the time. 10 bagger from 0.3p? It's now c. 0.43/.44 and I believe has legs to climb substantially higher. Lesson to be learned, don't believe a word the CEOs tell you, even if it's RNSd. Only buy in small amounts ahead of news, de-risk like fk ahead of any drilling and bank your original stake where possible in order to preserve capital. Only believe the results (except in the case of TXP and their best well in 30 years puts a dent in this strategy) and buy in on that basis. You might miss a few bags, but you'll probably still gain and save yourself a lot of stress. FWIW, in the vast majority of my posts, I have also stated niai and dyor and imho, so anybody that read my posts and bought on the back of my positivity you only have yourselves to blame. Going forward: I retain my stake in TXP as they should be producing huge volumes of gas from late Autumn 22 after they receive their EIA permit and can then start building the final pipeline and production and storage battery. First well expected on-line in May, but it's a tiddler at c. 8-10,000scfgpd, the next 2 should increase that by another 60-70mscfgpd. Their gas contract is fixed around the $2.5/mscfg area, so they will not benefit from higher global prices, but they're insulated from any downturn. Then there's Coro, now my main holding. Duyung 15% Italian gas assets throwing off 5mln Euro free cash flow at a TTF price of 100 Euro. Then they have renewables projects in Vietnam and Philipines ready to kick off. As ever dyor, niai aimho gle. | lazarus2010
28/4/2022 08:24 | Buying at 3.08p.. looks better today!! | mostro
28/4/2022 08:16 | So seams that buying yesterday has reaped profit on yesterdays buys and offseting against previous buys at earlier dates at higher prices reduces overall loss..... ...:) | kumala
28/4/2022 08:13 | .....& if you add in that the Chinese may have felt 'done over' about that never explained missing deposit & all the fawning from Eme to CNOOC in every RNS you have yourselves an interesting consideration. | begorrah88
28/4/2022 08:09 | Spot on @Lushlips. EME was sold down 23% the afternoon before an RNS was announced notifying materially price sensitive news.Who would sell stock 23% down for no apparent reason? This is not irrational. Clearly there has been a leak, and clearly those selling have traded on this information. The law is clear - if the sellers were aware of this news then it is insider trading. This is a criminal offence, punishable by a prison sentence. I am investigation would be enlightening. | kiplig
28/4/2022 08:09 | So an Empyrean conspiracy theory? Assets effectively seized by the Chinese? They hide a gushing well and give us a fiver for the remaining license? Sounds a bit farfetched to me, but Iif it was going to happen anywhere, it would happen on AIM and it would happen to EME. :-) | oilforex
28/4/2022 07:51 | You have a sell off from people in the know the day before TD. Which is 10 days early. Being 10 days early it doesn't scare enough people into averaging down/part selling as say if it was 2 days away to TD, say day 24 and a sell off starts the day before. Something doesn't seem right to me. It will be interesting to see if the two other Wells get drilled without us and what the outcome are with these Wells. | lushlips
28/4/2022 06:36 | Probably be a big bounce today and then some steady climbing towards Duyong All not lost | upwego
27/4/2022 22:46 | lowsulphur the co. had a 40% odd chance of success and they upped it to the 60s based on their being a gas cloud (RNS before last). As it turned out there was no oil. This means that the assumption gas cloud=oil below was incorrect. So if the same drill were to be done again, you would not up the %CoS by the % that EME did in this instance. | haideralifool
27/4/2022 22:24 | Hi ALL i think this morning RNS should be investigated by the FCA there is something not right with todays announcemente, after all we told we had a 65 | lowsulpher1
27/4/2022 22:20 | seems a bit odd spending all that money and not have someone on the rig.. couldnt someone else from eme be there as it was life or death to us | currypasty
27/4/2022 22:17 | So wo counts the drill pipes for TD? | scaleyman
27/4/2022 22:05 | Hi Donald Gaza was in a hotel quarantine there is something not right with todays announcement there is a to be an lot of questions to be anasards, | lowsulpher1
27/4/2022 21:47 | Gaz was onshore supervising it. He is a geologist not a driller | the donald
27/4/2022 21:41 | Someone further up the thread said Gaz was quarantined somewhere, if so who from EME was representing the company at this crucial point? | scaleyman
27/4/2022 21:38 | I presume if they had oil shows they would have slowed down 🤷a | judijudi
27/4/2022 21:37 | Kcowe you are right it was to be 26 days to total depth why is it 10 days early question must be asked why is it 10 days early than was reported to the stockexchanged | lowsulpher1
27/4/2022 19:44 | I suggest you check the RNSs again. Please be at least factual. | pacman9
27/4/2022 19:41 | Sorry my mistake. I have deleted the post. Be careful. | helpfull |
