Divi from the remaining Duyung funds given to shareholders

Was looking at Gas Cloud linkages to other fields something to be established in the 7 years prior to drill and not the 7 days after the drill !!! FFS I remain firm in my request Duyung sold and part funds raised are linked back to shareholders before any further drilling. GLA

Excellent news. Bit of a surprise though that an oil exploration company goes oil exploring. It starts all over again. Are we starting at 30% GCoS? And I assume "filled to spill". I hope long term oil and gas experts won't be offended when I point out Topaz is more likely to fail, than not. That is the reality. 10 weeks ago that heresy would have got a definite "filter". Ouch! Today it will still get a filter from the "unreachables". They need to trade and put the risk onto naive, mug punters,as always. Whatever the share price is built up to in the time before Topaz, there will be a huge,risk averse exodus before the drill result. The FOMO spike was well and truly hammered into the ground last week.

No explanation as yet as to why the drill took 10 days sooner than forecasted to drill

One acid test would be if EME can negotiate/agree with CNOOC that they fund some/all of the drill based on an increased share from 51% and/or a fixed buyout figure if a commercial discovery

After all it is CNOOC who are effectively confirming this:!!
"Preliminary post-Jade assessment of the gas clouds over the (4) nearby CNOOC discoveries indicates that there is no linkage to the basinal faults for those CNOOC discovery gas clouds. The Topaz prospect has a similar structural setup to the CNOOC discoveries with no apparent linkage to basinal faults"

"The Jade well data has validated Post Stack Acoustic Impedance conclusions for reservoir and seal facies at the Topaz prospect. At the same time, the penetration of reservoir top within the pre-drill depth prognosis confirms the reliability of the depth conversion approach Empyrean used and confirms the trap definition of the Topaz prospect. As a result, the Jade well results have helped provide confidence in Reservoir, Trap and Seal of the Topaz prospect."

Well I would have more confidence in CNOOC if they are to get the same percentage of Topaz as at Jade, ie 51% on a successful drill then they should stump up half the drilling cost... That would show 'confidence' that they show when it's not them that's funding the drilling!!

seems to me they will look to farm this one out, keep maybe 20%. Cenkos placed a value of near 100p on Topaz with oil at $70. If we kept 20%, with the possibility of a free carry, and hit oil, it could be worth 20pps plus the value from Mako, so maybe 25-30pps for a sale of all assets in 12 months time? Once again it becomes a good risk/reward play. Obviously need more meat on the bones from Tom but at least they're working on salvaging something from the ashes!!
