Some chunky buys coming in, also delayed buys. 100k buy just reported as a sell. MM games. They want your shares.

If the share price keeps falling, I may be able to afford another ten shares. Just need a little bit more.

Thanks for your excellent posts KevMight be naive on my part but after yesterday's rns and safiande's excellent posts I'm extremely happy with where we are. I've got a lot of these and am certainly not selling for a long time. The current share price in my view is irrelevant, the next few months look very exciting.

Next few days will be very determinstic in the way forward IMO.

Firstly, we shouldn't get too concerned about if we are testing X3 or X4 or some other reservoir, the company doesn't really know either and they have already announced that information.
The fact is we have a number (seven I believe)of the deeper (not the known shallows) conventional sandstone gas bearing zones that can all be potentially tested. Zone 1 flowed gas, but was deemed sub-commercial. Zone 2 is flowing gas but we have no knowledge of if this is at a rate which is sufficient to provide revenue to allow the next phase of the "big plan" which is to drill Alvares. Remember, Alvares is a pure appraisal well, and we should look closely at how the Tulainyo drill works out( already down below 3000ft, it is on a similar trend line). If Tulainyo is successful, it de-risks Alvares significantly. My guess is, if that is the case, they will want to drill Alvares ASAP - it could be a big revenue producer :-) and as a sidetrack drill should be relatively inexpensive ( $2 million?).
To get to drill Alvares, I think SGC ( and probably the other JV partners)will need funds, these will come from:
1. Gas sales from Dempsey if they are achievable - the other wells are really just farting gas at the moment. Which is why this zone 2 flow test is an important event, we need to establish a stable and non declining flow rate - the secret is what value do they need to hook it up and will that then give them the cash to move forward???
2. Raise capital via a share offer.
3. Borrow from a lender against the asset and it's potential.
4. Get in another farm-in partner who will fund a high percentage for a low WI.

So, place you bets - getting interesting again now. However, from yesterday's announcment I think 1 is now looking increasingly likely. All above IMO and DYOR.

IMO, SGC traders over thinking the companies cash position due to length of time, and extra cost of testing. EME must still have plenty of cash at the moment, why not buy another few % off them? That would do both companies sentiment a power of good.

Below the X targets as far as we can tell. So still 4 X targets & 2 G sands to test before the already commercial Forbes shallows!

Hi, it appears to be Zone 2 which it appears is somewhat thicker than original estimates but I stand to be corrected..

Guys...do we have any idea what zone they are on...no one from the company has confirmed how many zones there are.The original picture showing the zones/layers seems to be completely out of the window..maybe this is all part of the secret bit!!

Tidy2. Initially, yes. However, it appears from HC bb posts SG
C have more than seven gas zones now.. You have the two thin, shallow, sands which unexpectedly have been shown to be gas bearing - the second of which is being tested still ? hence is presumably quite a large reservoir - then the four X 1 to X 4 zones above plus two shallower, top zones.

This is very much in the DYOR ' category '.

I'd greatly like to see an update / clarification from SGC.

Conclusion

Its very early days. The FACTS though, so far, appear to show Dempsey could be up to initial expectations.

Also, once the large seller is cleared .. SGC back to earlier highs.. GLTA.

What are you talking about. They hit 3 of the 4 deeps and started testing from the bottom up.

If they have in fact not begun work on their initial targets, it would seem plausible that the 1tcf estimate is somewhat conservative considering the quality of the first zone's gas and the pressure of the second.

But they haven't reached the deeps that they were planning as targets pre-spud, namely the X sands. I think that's right at least.

The management are v excited with what theyve found. I can tell you that for sure. This will surpass prior highs in time. This second zone is not even the main target.

SGC is a tremendous buying opportunity. I have just added once again to my position.

Dempsey is / has all the makings of being, as it's been dubbed, a monster ' well - what a wonderful term. Then we have Alvares.

I shouldn't concern yourself with replying to the likes of Brimsley/Good Oil etc. a psychological profiling session with Dr Ruth might be of help lol maybe we could all chip in :)). GLTA.

It's obvious London traders are creating the market for SGC, sadly the Ozzie's don't like it....Comparing it to 88exhausted, SGC and EME have a future.

They've done a flow test, let pressure build up, so will be ready to run another flow test/series of flow tests. Should be an update in the next few days?
