Bad result at EOG this morning, but the thing that stands out is the drill came in early and well under budget.

How come i3e/EOG's drill comes in well under budget and around 10days early and they benefit, whereas EME's Jade drill came in 10 days early and the full cost was still paid? CNOOC certainly took EME for fools!

The first job of a CEO is to ensure the company can continue as a going concern. Not to pander to a bunch of moaning shareholders. Not that shareholders would've been moaning if Jade was a success. Tommy failed miserably. The current problems lie entirely in his decision making. A lesson learned and all that. But might be very expensive for shareholders.

Yes Jade was a duster but even with their 60% COS there was still a 40% chance of no oil.

wcj.It was a two year deal and, afaiaa, it has expired without be renewed. Imo, he wouldn't have used it anyway. He'll sit it out until after GSA and POD and then do a RBL facility or sell some/all. The CLN holders have waited patiently for this long (when they could have called it in) - they ain't going to worry about another few weeks. They just want their money and will have done very nicely on this deal. They will emerge with a reputation as a reliable, reasonable lender.Imo

JJ. Interesting question. The options are IMO:-
1.Loan note holders extend the 1st Dec date again adding a premium to do so.
2. Loan note holders repaid in full with a full or partial sale of our stake in Duyung.
3. Loan note holders repaid with a confetti placing.

With the Conrad IPO now happening, this should give confidence to the LNH to extend IMO. Another 10% premium to wait a few more months should allow EME to raise capital from the Duyung Asset in either sale or loan replacing the security the loan note holders have over the asset.
It should come as no surprise TK saying sweet FA along with ramptastic Gaz stll in hiding. TK only engages when he runs out of cash and comes out with a begging bowl. I'd rather he keeps it that way for now otherwise a confetti placing is likely IMO.

News from Conrad getting close. Hopefully oversubscribed and nice premium on listing! I think the timing of IPO is interesting as they could have waited to get away at higher price after GSA but with FID now expected in H1 maybe they need funding in place to get RBL for project development.
