29/9/2022 12:04 | Having attended the Coro Energy presentation last evening readers may be interested in a few snippets of information, needless to say they pointed to the significant value of Duyung stake compared to their current £6m m/cap, the CFO suggested that the value gap will close as investors draw attention to Conrad upcoming market listing. When pressed the CFO said their stake could quite easily be sold (it appears there are buyers) however they wanted to ensure the best value for the shareholders, he said they needed $38m to fund development if they kept the 15% interest of which 70% could be raised by debt funding. Most interesting (and outside of the presentation) speaking to a fellow who is taking part in the Conrad IPO, he suggested they have already raised $15m of the suggested $45m from investors close to Conrad, they have embarked on an investor roadshow hoping to raise the balance. Despite difficult markets the Conrad IPO seems to be progressing at reasonable pace which has to be beneficial for EME. No advice intended. | m1sterx
29/9/2022 11:41 | granny, any farminee would only be thinking of the 49%. If Topaz has the potential of near 900mmbbls of reserves, the target is 450mmbbls. Also the fact that CNOOC would pay for 51% of all costs after commercial oil is discovered, would mean that any farminee would effectively be paying their final %age of half the cost, which would be the same more or less if they were targeting 450mmbbls by themselves, so effectively they could get say 80% of 450mmbbls and only pay 40% of the expected operating costs. Win Win I think?! AIMHO NIAI DYOR | lazarus2010
29/9/2022 11:37 | Farmees would still be able to farm into 49% which could still provide great returns on success. | the donald
29/9/2022 11:32 | I think it's the fact that CNOOK get 51% of the license if they find hydrocarbons without putting anything into it without getting paid that puts farmees off investing.. Win win for CNOOK! | grannyboy
29/9/2022 11:31 | JJ, my thoughts too. | the donald
