25/3/2010 12:27 | Seems I'm alone in this one...no complaints as it allowed me to add early doors! The outlook statement is superb:- "This positive momentum has continued into the first months of 2010 with both revenues and net fee income significantly higher than in 2009 and on a materially lower cost base..." Income significantly higher, costs materially lower, debt fallling, vast majority of its earnings coming from overseas...can only mean much higher profits in 2010. | ![]() jeff h
22/1/2010 10:49 | My assertion proved correct....would be no surprise if these are over £1 by next year...even get a mention in The Times today:- "Empresaria rose 1½p to 37½p after the recruiter gave an encouraging trading update. It said the UK market was more stable in the second half and that trading conditions improved in Germany and other smaller territories. It added that it was poised to take advantage of recovery in Europe as well as in Asia and Latin America." | ![]() jeff h

21/9/2009 20:36 | Nice rise today - I added recently due to it having large exposure to the recovering German economy (via Headway) and Euro as well as other foreign earnings. | ![]() jeff h

18/2/2008 19:50 | Still watching. Nice to see Chairman lifting his stake. Tony Martin, Chairman, acquired 500,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of 82 pence per share. Following this transaction, Mr Martin has a beneficial interest in 4,841,618 representing 14.51 per cent. of the issued share capital of Empresaria. LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Traders recruited stock in Empresaria, 7 pence higher at 84-1/2, after the staffing group said it expects adjusted full-year profits to be in line with current market expectations. Revenue for the year ended Dec 31 2007 was approximately 146 mln stg and net fee income around 40 mln, a near doubling of the group performance in 2006. In response, Landsbanki pointed out that the company sells on a 2008 multiple of 6.3 times and the broker retains its 'buy' recommendation. 23/8/2007 09:20 | A quick summary from Dan Stewart when the share price was circa 170p+ prior to the welcome dip the last few weeks. Empresaria EMR.L Diversified Recruitment Target Price: 200p BUY We favour the Empresaria business model because of its ability to wed strong organic growth to low-risk and regular acquisitions via its focus on expansion into fast-growth professional and immature overseas recruitment markets. Although the shares have enjoyed a strong run in recent months, we believe that the company is capable of generating significantly above average long term growth, and we believe that this merits a significant premium to the staffing peer group average. | tole
22/8/2007 10:46 | Empresaria A recruitment company might not seem like a logical choice for an investor seeking a stable, predictable investment that can be used to shelter assets from IHT. Recruiters offer few of the characteristics that are seen as desirable. The industry is very cyclical, and companies within it have very little in the way of fixed assets - their major assets are their employees, who could leave at any moment. But Empresaria overcomes both these issues, and offers some exciting growth potential. First, it has a wide spread of activities. It has subsidiaries all over the world, spread across a number of sectors and in both permanent and temporary recruitment. That limits the risk if a particular country or sector experiences problems. And its incentivisation structure allows it to keep hold of key staff. Like support services company Mitie, it offers the senior management of its subsidiaries an equity stake in the companies that they run. That gives them the incentive to work hard, and makes it less likely that they will move elsewhere. The growth prospects come from Empresaria's international expansion plans. Although the UK recruitment market is relatively mature, the sector is growing quickly elsewhere. Germany, where the company has just made its largest ever acquisition, is benefiting from regulatory change while there is also plenty of potential growth in Asia. | tole
21/8/2007 15:19 | And taken off a previous IC article I had... "The other companies to look out for are those that are targeting overseas growth. The UK is one of the most developed markets in the world, and more growth is available in countries where there is regulatory change and an increasing acceptance of the benefits of temporary staffing and outsourced recruitment. Continental Europe and Asia are particularly attractive from this perspective." "Here, Empresaria stands out. It has been expanding rapidly overseas and incentivising local management teams by allowing them to keep a stake in the company that they run. The company will soon complete a large acquisition in Germany - its largest deal to date - and also has a large network of offices in Asia." | tole |
