we debated about EML long time ago on Wan's board and I said I was not happy the CEO was not putting much money into the company, I don't like companies where the CEO does not back the company with his own money suggests they know something we don't. In this case the apparent risk reward is very low hence not pumping lots off money in by CEO suggests lack of confidence.

I remember we talked when we met after the PXC presentation and you were in agreement. Are you going Tuesday night to the BUR one? I am trying to find time after the big announcement on Friday, well done by the way that was another I was in and out of sadly was out on Friday lol.

Hi pogue,That's my view too. I think EML should tell Morocco that unless the permit is granted they will issue an RNS to this effect.

I foresee shooting the messenger with this post but some may find it useful.
I have followed EML for a while now occasionally buying on the dips selling on the spikes and one night after a presentation in London I got speaking to the CEO of another company regards EML and his view as he had in past done business in Morocco in the mining sector. He believed that EML are not getting the Eisa signed because they refuse to pay the bribes that are needed to move it forward. I wouldn't either as the PFC conviction shows you what happens when the politics turn against you when you have followed the local custom and paid bribes to get contracts. I am invested in another Moroccan play where the board are heavily invested in the company therefore I assume are more willing to take the risk of practicing local customs as they seem to have very little problem with permits.
Anyway its a view take it or leave it.

I know that office work doesn't grind to a halt in Ramadan, albeit I understand that it can be a bit slower when everyone is struggling with hunger and thirst! Nevertheless I tend to agree that final approval and announcement would not take place in Ramadan. But it's only 3 weeks till the end now...

We don't shut down for Ramadan or Lent, why would they? Wishful thinking on your part, the Eisa will arrive when it's been passed and stamped, I doubt religion will delay it even if it requires people in committees to be in rooms.

Unlikely to get Moroccan government announce anything significance during Ramadan. We will be far into April when end of Ramadan 2023 is upon us. And yes works continue at EML. Come back next month.

I wonder whether Emmerson were at the event?It just seems hard to believe that the Moroccan govt would kill Khemmiset at this late stage, after all the big UK-Morocco trade deals and political pushes, the UK export bank guarantees, the Moroccan engineering companies being hired, the Moroccan banks being hired for the capital fundraising, the major employment and tax benefits, the offtakes, etc etc.But unfortunately it's not 100% yet...GLA
