I'm still hopeful that if/when we get our ESIA and a positive finance update, we'll jump quickly into the 12-15p range. Let's see. GLA LTHs

#Cyberbub, a very nice looking pennant too from the mid November low.. :o)

SP will of course be news driven, but we are heading into H1-2023 knowing the last few issues around water were addressed and submitted, but if we get a chart bounce I will gladly take it..!

Chart looking like a possible pennant forming, as long as it doesn't drop much further... Touch wood... Sigh...

does anyone know what happened to Dame Gloag WRT EML, she was a major shareholder of EML but not listed on their website anymore as being so.

She's in the news at the moment about human trafficking.

Found an interesting small potash company in Canada to use as a comparator, GenSource (GSP.L). Seem to be similar stage to us and similar requirements for finance , but only 1/3 the output. Will have another look over the weekend.

Given the cadh already spent commitment it would be staggering if the project failed? Totally unreasonable only conclusion if that did happen? We only agree that the Moroccan Gov be following some sort of international standard and one that is very recent? We do know EML wasn't in the playing field on water given admission was asked to comply rather than initial made an offer? And from that early agreement to comply the Morrocans appear to have ratcheted up the demand to comply ever stricter requirements or international standards as their State owned potash producer has already achieved.

Agree, the chances of the project going ahead are now 95% IMO, it's difficult to see what would scupper it apart from a sudden collapse in the potash price (not gonna happen), or some left-field inability to sort out the water permit (seems very unlikely?).Also encouraging that financers are apparently still very keen, this tends to bear out my suggestion that they will have already done a lot of the legwork and discussions. I would hope that once the ESIA is granted, we could close the finance within 3-4 months?GLA DYOR etc

At least we are finally getting some transparency as to the fact that there have been significant issues to address wrt permitting; not sure why its taken so long to go from the MA have all that they need and imminent etc to finally this level of clarity.

Anyway now it's on to the water issue and sounds like progress is being made in that regard. No guarantees as per the watered down "cautiously optimistic" but nevertheless i would be staggered if this were to fail at this juncture. Timelines remain, as usual, the imponderable.

Great update and all going in the correct direction. I did comment a long time ago that was plenty of work to do and therefore the final permit was in no hurry. The challenge of minimising water usage and recycling does appear met. However, is the offer satisfactory to allow Moroccan civil service to give us all success? Time will tell. Surely this year before Ramadan.

Q4 Update

Emmerson, the Moroccan-focused potash development company, is pleased to provide an update on its corporate and operational activities for Q4 2022.

Highlights:

-- Environmental permit - discussions with relevant authorities have progressed closer towards approval, with the focus on management of water

-- Other technical workstreams (basic engineering) have progressed and are now near to completion

-- Offtake Memoranda of Understanding ("MOUs") signed in November

-- Strong expressions of interest from debt, equity financiers and potential strategic partners

-- Potash prices fell back in the quarter from historic peaks but remain well above long term averages

-- Liberum Capital appointed as Nominated Adviser

Graham Clarke, CEO, commented:

" At the end of Q3 we announced that we had renewed our strategic investment for a further 12 months and had strengthen e d our balance sheet with the raising of a further US$6.1 million , which will fund our planned activities in 2023 ahead of construction .

" During Q4, a considerable amount of work went into progressing discussions with regard to the environmental approval of the Khemisset Project, for which I am grateful to my team and the Moroccan authorities. A number of important issues that had held up progress have been resolved, and discussions have moved onto the specifics of the Project's water management, which is a key area of concern in Morocco following low rainfall in recent years. Our proposals (including specific revisions) are robust and I am cautiously optimistic they will be accepted, but the timing of approvals is in the hands of the Moroccan authorities. We appreciate the patience of our shareholders and are committed to doing everything that is needed to get this over the line .

" Work in other areas has continued. Our technical workstreams (which of course include key elements relevant to water management such as sourcing water and tailings facilities) are now nearing completion, and we were also able to sign MOUs for around 2/3rd s of our potash production on a take or pay basis , demonstrating the strength of demand for potash. Discussions with financiers continue, and we will provide updates at the appropriate times, although understandably the environmental approvals will unlock progress , particularly on the equity side.

" I am confident we will be able to provide some substantive updates over the course of Q1, and that 2023 will be a transformative year for Emmerson . "

Good update, progress being made, but looks like another quarter needed for the ESIA, sigh. At least it seems like the govt aren't holding it up for nefarious reasons?
