Just to add also I think the whole board now fills us with confidence with their experience and abilities.....and certainly not the sort of setup that looks for a lifestyle company. The shareprice looks unjustifiably miserable , which I think is mainly down to manipulation by people thinking they can sneak into fundings, which is dampening the potential for price movement. With the advances made for the past 12 months, and the obvious good relations with the very pro-Western Moroccan authorities, there are no real hurdles between emmerson and success.

Very pleased he's been moved swiftly upto chairman . Adds great experience to that role now and adds confidence that things will be conducted properly at board level.I know it's not going to happen, but any possibility of funded tie up with one of his previous giants would be welcomed.

The new director is the boss of TRR, a mining royalty company. Perhaps they are looking to strike a deal with EML but want some board presence before committing. Or am I barking up wrong tree?

That's true. Otherwise the issue price would be irrelevant anyway if they weren't paid for. It would've just been an allotment. But no income figure mentioned for them.

Agree could be clearer, but I read it to mean he paid for them. It is not that many shares but it's more than several of the other directors own. I am assuming in due course he will be issued with share options too, which may be the more important incentive.

A joining gift to him.Im happy with that. Its better than giving cheap shares to manipulative twitter parasites via dodgy equity funders, who have already forward sold.At least this gives the director an incentive to hold and to deliver....which I'm sure he will, looking at his history at mining giants.

Spot on......answer No because they can shaft you and make you pay for them.

Basically unless you PIS get a grip they have and will continue to walk all over you...

gifted shares - not good.

Do none of the BoD feel it is not beneath them to purchase shares on the open market?

I'm not sure I understand what 'allotted at a price of 5.65p each" means. Did he pay for them? Did the company pay for them? What's the significance of the price? Not clear.

Cyberbub - that was an interesting read, thanks again. Will be interesting if Mr Kelly brings something similar to the table over time. Let's face it, he's been brought in to assist in getting the best possible deal. He'll surely want to see value for himself as well?

does make me wonder how many people it needs to evaluate a finance package! But presumably now Mr Kelly won't support future raises below his buy in price of 5.65p so this is a base. And if it brings some fresh imagination to how the company raises its finance, then it's potentially big news. Timed my entry here totally wrong, but onwards and upwards...

If that is all the shares he gets given it would be great. He will be looking for a big return so at least 50p a share I'd guess

Westie, have a look at the FAR RNS of last Monday. A very credible investor, Mock Davies, has stumped up a decent amount at a small discount to the existing share price, plus an option for a lot more at much higher prices, subject to certain milestones. I'm pretty certain that's what EML management will be looking for. I just hope that the share price is at a more realistic 10p-ish for the first tranche! The new NED here comes from the same stable (Xstrata) as the FAR investor, which is encouraging. They know all about corporate finance in mining obviously!

Cyberbub - I have no knowledge of FAR apart from seeing the share price has tripled very recently. Would you mind elaborating a bit as to how this might benefit us? I mean from the point of view of staged investment plans. Many thanks
