Micky Chances are it opens at 5.3/5.5 tomorrow. Ignore the closing price is the best rule. AAZ has a wide spread, so the bid offer might be 120/130 and some days the last trade could be 130, sometimes 120. The next day it opens at 120/130 and is either up or down 5 but really, nothing has changed

Ontarget, so could you advise if we will know either way at the open price tomorrow if it was a buy or sell trade ? Ie if it opens at 5.40 or 5.20 will this be due to the late 500k trade ? Or is the open price based on possible offers received overnight from institutions ? Any help to clarify would be useful as I think you realise there are a lot of newbies invested here including yours truly. Cheers.

The uncrossing trade was the one for 2360 shares @ 5.3. The 500k is an ordinary trade, probably a limit order filled during the day. Impossible to tell if it was a sell or buy.

For newbies -

If you have access to Level 2, you will see auctions throughout the day.

At the closing of the auction the bids/offers are frozen and an attempt is made to match as many shares to be sold against shares to be bought - the result of this is what is known as the 'Uncrossing Trade' (UT).

Probably an end-of-day uncrossing trade -

Uncrossing Trade: During the auction period, there may be a point (or price) at which the best BID and best ASK match and a trade takes place. This trade on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) is known as an Uncrossing Trade. The LSE actually has many types of trade and each one is identified by a letter coding system.

Looks like a buy as share price now 5.40 so basically non-event day for some reason. If it’s a director deal then we’ll find out via RNS but if not a nice big buy.

Is that 500k after hours a buy or sell?

AP, today’s RNS advised the finance discussions are underway and probably moving quickly behind the scenes. The confirmation of an experienced technically minded CEO with the know how to get to construction will enable Hayden to concentrate now on getting the financial arrangements done and dusted as they are obviously gearing up now for an accelerated start.

Hayden will be trying to secure the finance. His intentions to protect (current) shareholder value remain the same. Dont let sxx cloud anything here

@sharerisersAndrew @AndrewScottTV Is it possible to get an interview with new CEO Graham Clarke. I would be very interested to hear about his plans for Emmerson and how his experience in the potash industry can help to expedite development of the world class Khemisset project?Response from Andrew:yes .... today hopefully

Can not blame GC for the SXX scam.

Chris Fraser was the finance guy.....got involved with JPM and the rest is history.

I view this as good news in that I agree with one the posts above...…..GC will have a list of people from SXX mine build who may be available for the build here.

Don't forget guys that we've entered the summer doldrums of trading. Every year at the best of times the stock market goes to sleep June July and August. I think we've got a good chance of breaking the 6p barrier if we get some more good news, but perhaps it won't be until Sept that volumes start rising again - by which time Mr Market will also be anticipating the release of the ESIA and a funding progress update. Anyway it makes no difference for investors who are here for the next 2-3 years.GLA NAI

Reading his background, he's worked up from in the industry from the bottom and was headhunted on his last 3 appointments now

" progressed the hard way to shift supervisor, shift manager and then production manager, before being promoted to Director of Mining with accountability for 500+ resources..."

"... I was approached by the European Chairman and appointed as Managing Director with full P&L responsibility for the £MM operation and workforce of circa 1,000.

I devised strategy and roadmap for the 490-acres facility and the second deepest mining operation in Europe at 1.4 km. I directed, coached and mentored sales, marketing, finance, HR and HSE leadership team, and navigated multiple economic impacts to maintain profitability aligned with corporate vision.

Over the seven years, I instilled open, honest communications, restructured the leadership team, change-managed behavioural culture, established robust relations with unions, and created sustainable operational and HSE excellence, and a fully engaged workforce"

"... I have played an instrumental part in many aspects of the project development taking it from vision to reality including exploration, planning, mine and engineering design and fundraising.
I have presented technical feasibility, economic impact and project benefits to Members of Parliament, county and parish councils, local communities, and potential investors and customers, as well as ITV, BBC, Radio, newspapers, and technical conferences and events.
I directed and matrix-managed cross-functional teams of 600+ consultants, contractors and our own staff, with full accountability for operational and HSE excellence on the main construction site"

micky,

good point, although a little chicken and egg I suspect.

Appoint a construction/production CEO before financing agreed to ensure finance houses have 100% confidence in the Company to see it all the way through to production and then the significant cash generation begins

SB, reckon that’ll be the next RNS director dealings. Kcaco, the problem with the Sirius project was that they required billions to move it to actual mine production. They only got £1.4bln and needed another £3bln. We only need just over $400M and probably less now that Graham will streamline the costs down and as getrich intimated he’ll get the mining gear on the cheap too. All good from here and taking shape to move this into full construction. EML must know finance is in the bag hence Graham’s appointment.

quite possibly - and with a certain irony, their entry price today would be almost exactly what they would have received from AAL for their SXX shares

...and this definitely has the potential to way higher than SXX's top price in the 40's (iirc)

Do you think those that were bought in at SXX will hear about this and maybe follow Graham Clark over ? I’m thinking it could create a lot of interest in EML

Let's hope he signals his intent and confidence in EML too by picking up a few shares

Options are fine, but he should also personally purchase some

Getrich, totally agreed mate. Graham’s contacts will get everything into place for full build and as you eluded to he might be able to pick up the required digging equipment and corer on the cheap thus reducing capex costs even further. Good move all round and lets Hayden concentrate on what he’s good at - getting the finance in place and making us millionaires lol.
