07/2/2020 03:17 | Large buyers will enter if they thing it may go for a flip or sell | sjames5
07/2/2020 03:15 | Elementis stock has becomes highly Auto and B&C oriented with portfolio changes. Chrom, coatings, o&g and talc are all cyclical Some businesses lines have very less room for innovation. Personal care is great portfolio but not broad enough for category growth And of course Debt | sjames5
04/2/2020 08:08 | From last July! "Well 130 - seems to be a key level and if that does not turn out to be support then 100 is on the cards as the next historical and psychological level. I suppose you could classify ELM as a bell-weather stock and if the much heralded stock market crash turns out to happen then you should be able to pick these up at about 20p (see 2002-5 and then 2009). No notified change in short positions. I wouldn't want to hold - until I buy some :)" Plus ca change? | toffeeman
16/1/2020 16:25 | Didn't stay up though | toffeeman
16/1/2020 15:19 | Your sided opinion about management is not that important, important bit is that when you check purchases for the last 2 days, big investors entered loads of shares, so if they wouldn't believe that the share will go up, they would not put that much money into it | tgkg
16/1/2020 15:16 | After small panic with short sellers, as soon as it hits proper oversold territory it goes back, today already jumped to 149, so from 2 days ago when was 135 this is massive jump already, it stays above the level 140 now so it indicates ending oversold to enter fast buy teritoty Morgan and berinberg reinstated strong buy rating so it's really good price to enter, it jumps up alot pretty quick | tgkg
15/1/2020 17:02 | Can't see much, if any, upside with this dismal management in place. | alfred
15/1/2020 12:24 | 21% upside indicated by jp morgan, really cheap today but it looks like there is loads of purchases going through already and if you notice on the chart this share jumps 10% as soon as the level hit enough purchases so from the look of it this low price is the last chance to get it cheap, it makes good profit. Massive purchases are going through, 1.6 million, 1.065 million, 718000, 711000, investors are putting loads of money again. Berenberg reiterates buy rating at 200 so that is 42% upside indicated | tgkg
14/1/2020 08:12 | The 'somewhat subdued' TU seems like a veiled profit warning. Watching for now. | dendria
20/11/2019 12:19 | Was wondering if I'd done the right thing by selling at 174 on the 16th, especially as they then announced a CMDay, but down it is today, so something didn't go down too well. Ghost town here. | poikka
13/11/2019 13:56 | hxxps://www.elementi | poikka
05/11/2019 16:30 | I should really take a very nice profit, but there's the possibility that they'll flog Energy and Chromium; so I'm holding. | poikka
03/11/2019 16:49 | Dipped my toe in at 151. Going to await further news before adding - or selling... | poikka
31/10/2019 10:58 | Jam tomorrow, again, but not looking too bad considering the global downturn, and chrome will turnaround eventually. Got to wonder whether Energy's worth keeping. | poikka
29/10/2019 18:53 | Q3 Thursday, folks. | poikka
30/7/2019 17:35 | John , you have a point but maybe management shared even worse prospects with analysts and shareholders. Despite the 10p rise there has been a 100p loss over last year so nothing for management to be proud about. The results are horrific especially when you see the fall in profits from recently acquired businesses. For the TALC business it is worth noting that management would have paid even more but were told to go reduce the price by investors. They promise cost savings but who increased costs in the first place. For years the business was run by a tight group of managers who knew the business. Now it seems to be run by an increasingly clueless and numerous management team. Venezuela calls for a new management team so let’s hope that the key shareholders agree. Suggest they start with a change of chairman, who seems incapable of keeping a check on an inexperienced and ill focused management team. | am555
30/7/2019 07:07 | But the market likes it - so there you go. | johnrxx99 |
