A few of changes max. Oh, just remembered, don't agree about Pickford. He has looked a bit nervous, he's young, but he's a fine keeper.

JJ, you may rue your Falcao comment. As far as I can see, he was awful at United, but has been excellent elsewhere.

Well if they're not capable of beating a Belgian reserve side, I don't hold out much hope against Columbia.

Southgate should have put out his best team to try and win against Belgium, I would have preferred to face Japan than Columbia, no point in playing to avoid Brazil if we can't get past Columbia.in any case, it will be just as difficult to beat either Switzerland or Sweden even if we do manage to beat Columbia.

It never ceases to amaze me how we can watch the same game, and have such different reactions. Brad had you taken something?! You thought Danny Rose was the best player?!

He's supposed to be a defender, but he can't defend to save his life. He was responsible for the Belgium goal, he was marking Januzaj, but puts him under no pressure whatsoever, allowing him to pick his spot. Rose's only ability is getting forward,and putting in some telling crosses, he's not bad at that but I don't recall him doing that too often either.

A drab performance from mostly drab players!

Looks like the cokeheads will be without Jimmy Rodriguez, so England's A team have every chance. Likely to be outnumbered 6 to 1 by their fans, though.

Sir Gareth? I agree yesterday should be ignored, and as G Neville rightly says, we'd have bitten someones hand off to beat Columbia and Swede/Switz to get to the semis.

Neither game will be easy, but our first team can do it.

To be fair Southgate was right to rest players and anyone suggesting otherwise is just daft. Looking at that meaningless performance you do not want Harry Kane or any other 1st teamers injured or red carded whilst playing a dead rubber. If England are to do ajything worthwhile in thia tournament deli ali and sterling must come alive as they have been passengers thus far and they possess the only real ctrative flair in the squad. Kane is a top finisher who needs good service and these guys have to supply it. The big worry is that southgate is tactically inept. Panama could have scored a hatful and even Tunisia created several good chances.

i don't think you can glean anything from that dead rubber. Danny Rose was by far the best player on the park,closely followed by Cheek, even Fellaini looked half decent against Dire (sorry Dier)and Jones and Delph. even with a full contingent, i feel that Columbia will be looking forward to playing us, rather than the other way around!!!

i wish the England team all the best though, as at least they have gone out and tried to play. I wish the England Band all the worst, and i hope the Ultras sort them out, and they stick their instruments so far up where the sun does not shine, that they can never be found again...

Before the game I thought England B would be better than Belgium B but how wrong could I be. That was very worrying as Belgium were so much better in nearly every aspect. England rely on Tempo - playing at high pace - so tonight's meaningless game didn't suit them however their lack of technique was astonishing TBH.
