Columbia actually defended extremely well, a solid back four who also broke every rule in the book to stop England gaining any real momentum. Not helped by a referee who didn't have a scooby as to what was going on. The team will take huge confidence from the manner of the victory and of course winning a knock out game for the first time in so many years. I hope Dele Alli doesn't play again until fit and Sterling just has to do something amazing soon.......doesn't he?

Good result in the end, but ignoring the reserves vs Belgium, that was our worst performance of the WC. The only player we have that can beat a man is Sterling, and Rashford, whose been a bit part.

Pickford should be the keeper for the next 10 years, and Stones and Maguire look like a decent pairing. Walker should be right wing back imo, with Rose as left wing back.

Where we are bang average is in the middle of the park. Henderson works hard, but will never find a killer ball, same as Dier. I havnt seen much of Trippier, but he doesnt look anything out of the ordinary. Alli has been disappointing.

Kane was our motm tonight imo, a top centre forward performance.

In summary, most of our goals come from set pieces as we cant create anything else.

Sweden are equally average, so we can still make the semis, but if football is coming home, I think we'll have to emigrate to Brazil or France.

Putin and his cronies are the problem not the Russian people - Crimea is not Russian territory, it was annexed by force, and furthermore Putin was responsible for bringing down a civilian aircraft and killing all the innocent passengers.

Lets hope England meet Russia and give them a good hammering, for their criminal poisoning of the Skripal`s.
