2,487 shares sold today and the share price drops 1p, on that basis I hope there isn't a 20k sale tomorrow!

Eight 'sales' marked today but, in reality, the five trades marked at 121.36p are in fact 'buys'.

Odd that the two marked so-called sales this morning (@ 154p each) didn't move the price one jot but the following small sales (totalling just 36.8k) dropped the mid price by 2.5p. I find it so annoying that the Market Manipulators continually treat small investors as nincompoops.

The two trades, one for 15k and the other for 20k, marked as sales @ 127p look highly suspect. If that was genuine, why did the share price go up 2p and the two subsequent trades (marked as buys) need to pay 128.8p?

The share price 'traffic light' appears to be stuck on red at 136p (thrice this morning), will it turn to green this afternoon?

edit: Turned to green as I was typing the above (lol)

Or better yet Brummy get Ian Johnson from CIR on.
I'm sure you could charm Chris Mills into making the introduction ;)

Back to things Eleco, looking at the trade timings for Friday, buying in earnest started at 13,45 which, from memory, is roughly when American investors can join in. Will there be more to come from there tomorrow?

Brilliant!
Appreciate that. Yes, watched the Andy Brough one. Schroders have 3.9% of CIR now.
Hopefully they'll continue to raise their holding.

Right, off to have a listen to the August CM interview.
Cheers mate.

Hey Brummy. Really enjoying your work lately.
Earlier today I was trying to find an interview you did with Chris Mills with regards to Circassia. Ive listened to the one from November but you alluded to CM mentioning CIR a few months before. So around august..?
Any chance you could put a link up.
Ive tried looking on vox and youtube but I can't find it.

Cheers :)

Tipped in the IC by Mark Robinson:
Eleco (ELCO), an Aim-traded construction software specialist, which the IC placed on a buy when it was trading at 54p back in April 2018. The shares have increased in value by 131 per cent in the intervening period, yet they change hands at 27 times forecast earnings. That’s hardly exorbitant where software providers are concerned, though it would not be unreasonable to suggest that some unrealistically optimistic growth assumptions have been baked into valuations across the wider sector.

Despite the challenges presented in the early part of the year, group sales held firm through 2020, while the percentage of recurring revenue increased by 3 percentage points to 56 per cent. If anything, that trend has accelerated through the first quarter; significant given the strategic pivot towards software-as-a-service (SaaS) sales. Reported pre-tax profits were up by a fifth on the first quarter of 2020, while the cash generative nature of the business underlined a net cash position of £7.9m, a 27 per cent increase since the end of 2020.

Last week he highlighted HEIQ which looks a good buy

Has any other shareholder attempted to get attendance at tomorrow's virtual AGM, I've never before experienced such a palaver, you'd think you would trying to break-in to the Bank of England!? First I had to prove my name was on the share register then this morning I was informed I would need to provide a passport photograph to the registrars prior to the meeting to prove I wasn't an impostor! Ridiculous.

Needless to say that request was politely declined having been a company shareholder for just over 21 years without any such questions being asked. Under this management, can't see myself remaining a shareholder much longer.

(99 .9 cases out of 100
rather than 9/10, imo

I don't think I can recall ever seeing any UK RNS for a dir. buying shares that includes promotional text for the company

or for the chairperson !! :-0

The general idea of regulation is imo that companies are not allowed to promote their shares but should merely report the financial & other news & the market then considers the data & news & buyers/sellers then decide what they see as a fair price for that data & news.

And that any promotion is done by PR agencies etc, tipsters, press & that investors know that agencies are normally being paid to promote the shares as a buy, so investors treat the promo views accordingly.

As a holder, I’m happy that they’re going up so am not complaining, just surprised.
I actually thought the director’s bullish statement issued at the same time as his purchase was announced was also surprising; in at least 9 times out of 10 cases, a director’s sale or purchase of shares is announced with no reason or explanation given. Here we have not only a positive statement explaining why Mr Craig carried out the purchase but hardly has the ink had time to dry on his contract note when we have the company announcing a positive trading update. Glad I’m not a market maker in Eleco!
