07/9/2020 09:57 | Thanks, M J, should have worked that out for myself. Whoever forked out 90/92p on Thursday (for a total of 153k shares) will be bemused with this morning's dip on only 6k net of sales so far. Appears a little ridiculous and, if it's an attempted tree shake, hasn't worked very well. edit: At the end of reported trading, a net 15k shares sold caused a 2.5p fall in sp; amazing! | ansc
04/9/2020 22:51 | They are late reported trades from yesterday 3 sept | melton john
04/9/2020 17:18 | The four trades (reported as ADVFN nos. 16,17,18 & 19) have me flummoxed. | ansc
28/8/2020 11:44 | With the share price inching higher again today, just needed to confirm that staying put was the right choice for me so re-read the chairman's trading statement released last month: [Unaudited revenues for the six months ended 30 June 2020 held up well and were lower than revenues for the same period last year by only 4 per cent. Unaudited management accounts for the six months ended 30 June 2020 also showed that profits before tax increased by 23 per cent, compared with profit before tax in the same period last year and that adjusted profit before tax* increased by 14 per cent. Strong cash-flow in the period ended 30 June 2020 also enabled Elecosoft to improve its net cash position from GBP1.1m at 31 December 2019 to GBP4.4m as at 30 June 2020. The Board of Elecosoft expects to release Elecosoft's interim results in late September and will announce the date in due course. (* Adjusted profit measures exclude acquisition and corporate finance related expenses and amortisation of acquired intangible assets.)] That's good enough for me. | ansc
27/8/2020 12:06 | Yeah maybe just prosecco for now, but i do intend to do some more research on this one; software companies can be excellent investments. Just don't know much about construction and likely growth in use of their product. The other 4 tipped were: Gamesys (which i do own as free cash flow yield is great, although debt levels have been a bit eye-watering historically), BP Marsh, Ferrexpo and Just Group. | makw61
27/8/2020 11:45 | Thanks, makw61. Unfortunately, from the experience of my previous stocks being tipped in 'Shares', I'm not expecting to be drowning myself in champagne anytime soon! Nevertheless, a long time since ELCO has appeared in the 'Percentage Gainers' list so I'll enjoy the moment!! | ansc
27/8/2020 11:30 | Which are the other 4?! | johndoe23
27/8/2020 09:41 | Tipped in Shares magazine today as one of "5 great stocks to buy now". Mentions it is held within the SDL Free Spirit Fund, which i rate, so worth a closer look here! ATB | makw61
27/8/2020 09:07 | With 10 'buy' trades marked already this morning, there must surely be a recommendation somewhere. | ansc
25/8/2020 22:02 | Stock market rules. They aren't for our benefit. A trade of several times market size takes a while to complete so reporting it a day late is allowed. I think it can go even longer, I seem to remember "as soon as practicable". The trades of the 20th that you mentioned are I think buys but at a lower negotiated price with the seller and then reported to the exchange. I've just bought my first block of shares in Elco which came out of a comparison that I ran. I will be buying more as funds become available. | melton john
25/8/2020 17:39 | Running true to form, the 38k buy (@ 79.99p timed at 08.47) reported L(ate). In this internet world, why is this still permissible? | ansc
21/8/2020 11:54 | Today's current quote is a more 'normal' 76.26p/77.98p, still wondering what caused yesterday's aberration. | ansc
20/8/2020 12:06 | Once again a strange online quote (by ELCO standards) this morning - 77.0p/77.2p. So the 33,896 shares traded so far today are all sells yet the price is upped 0.5p ..... baffling! | ansc
17/8/2020 17:50 | All is revealed! With a large 'buy' order being filled, it's little wonder that the sells I mentioned (in my previous post) didn't weaken the share price as (imho) the 497,114 trade today @ 75.0p (13.20) was definitely a 'buy'. Will that trigger a significant shareholding RNS sometime? NB. I've discovered that the 50k trade mentioned in my previous sentence, although reported yesterday was actually transacted on the 14th (last Friday) so I've edited the sentence accordingly. | ansc
14/8/2020 09:09 | Sells galore this week (@ 73.3p) but the share price hasn't flinched ... reassuring for the annual figures next month? | ansc
07/8/2020 17:15 | According to ADVFN trades marked (not checked individually), a net 1,469 shares sold today and the price is marked down 5.8% ..... supply and demand, yep, working perfectly! | ansc
06/8/2020 13:20 | After yesterday's conundrum, prices back to normality today - 77.36/79.45p (for 5k). | ansc
05/8/2020 17:26 | My two dummy trades today confirmed another day of 'back-to-front' prices for some reason - 77.65/77.60p. Using that basis to clarify, there were just 1,722 shares sold but 58,088 shares bought ..... and the price didn't flinch?! | ansc
03/8/2020 17:11 | That 50k 'buy' (@ 80p) reported L(ate), what a surprise! | ansc
21/7/2020 18:47 | Steady upward trend here....nice to see. | lyndon b
21/7/2020 08:56 | Decapitalisation? Where do you get that from? As regards the name change, I posted this elsewhere on 5th June following the AGM: 'This initially seemed rather strange to me seeing as the company name was changed from Eleco just five years previously. As always when in doubt I contacted the company and, after their detailed explanation, all became clear. A simple analogy is that of a family tree. Eleco plc becomes the 'parent' company (containing all the corporate fundamental data) below which is listed their 'children' (subsidiaries). Any prospective customer will now be able to check the financial soundness of the company (at Eleco plc) before being able to go straight to the subsidiary they are interested in (be it Powerproject, Shire Systems, ICON etc). That should make life simpler as the company continues to grow (hopefully) in the future.' | ansc
21/7/2020 07:16 | Seems an odd name change. Does decapitalisation of PLC make a big difference? | bellymonster
21/7/2020 06:33 | It's taken nearly six weeks but, as from today, the company name is now registered as Eleco plc: | ansc
20/7/2020 09:10 | With the company name having reverted back to Eleco plc (resolution passed at the recent AGM), this thread is no longer in use and the previous one (under that name) is now back in action. | ansc
