25/1/2019 09:40 | Well pleased with update. Can't understand why there's been so much selling recently with the company so well placed whatever the out-turn of the Brexit fiasco. Still don't think pi s have taken on-board the significance of the two acquisitions last year. Chairman writes: "The acquisition of Shire Systems in July 2018 provided Elecosoft with an immediate foothold in the strategically important computerised maintenance management systems market. It also extends Elecosoft's coverage of software solutions across the life cycle of property assets and facilities. ActiveOnline based in Wesel, Germany, which was acquired in November 2018, will collaborate closely with ESIGN, Elecosoft's international software visualisation business based in Hannover, Germany. These two companies have each created and maintain an extensive visualisation software offering. ESIGN specialises in the development of software for the visualisation of hard and flat surfaces, and ActiveOnline specialises in the development of software for the visualisation of curved surfaces, soft fabrics and coverings." One happy bunny ! | clangor2

25/1/2019 08:09 | encouraging update on a 'significant' 2018 with results to be well ahead of 2017 and 'comfortably' in line with forecasts. New Equity Dev research note just out, forecasts unchanged and fair value held at 115p / share, versus 72p close last night. Freely available here: | edmonda

04/1/2019 14:44 | Didn't expect to be pocketing a few more quite as quick but at 66p couldn't resist, price 20% lower than when interim figures announced in Sept. What's changed since then ? | clangor2
03/1/2019 12:03 | Not sorry to see the back of 2018, horrendous for my small portfolio with each holding falling in price bar Elecosoft. With the Brexit charade showing little sign of reaching any kind of solution in the immediate future, will 2019 turn out to any better? Have made a New Year Resolution, however, to gradually offload most whenever possible but stick with and add to my Elecosoft holding if the opportunities arise. A disappointingly weak ending to the year for them but the share price still rose from 41.5p at start, ending on 68.5p for a 65% gain. Not many companies managed that kind of performance last year. Three reasons for my risky decision: one, chair Ketteley concluded in his Interim statement ‘I believe we remain resilient to any effects of Brexit’; two, with the Active Online acquisition announcement, Ketteley wrote (under current trading) ‘The Company continues to trade in line with its expectations and its assessment of outlook and the market remains unchanged.’ Presumably market expectations are that of finnCap (co broker) and the latest 2018 forecast I can find from them is for turnover of £22.5m, profit of £3.6m with a target price of 88p; three, the market appears to have ignored the potential benefits of the Active Online acquisition once integrated with their own Esign subsidiary. I’m hoping their combination will turn out to be a little corker! The company hasn’t notified the market of any significant changes to trading recently as their obligated to do so decided it’s worth a gamble. It’s only money!!! Someone must be desperate for money, sold six shares this morning (lol) | clangor2
27/12/2018 17:19 | 10.4k shares sold this morning (0.013% of share capital)and the share price was marked down 5.7%. Unbelievably, a few investors (?) were panicked into selling ... one up to the Market Manipulators. | ansc
17/12/2018 11:23 | 750,000 share options from Oct. 2016 about to vest with the 2018 results (& well done to the dirs. for the good perf. & steps taken since Oct 2016) Do the options vesting affect the calculation of annual profit ? (750.000 shares. ~ 42p profit per share. Gain is 308k pnds.; does that count as a cost in the profits calcs. ??) | smithie6 |
