05/6/2015 16:18 | UK onshore crude grade as defined by gravity or API varies from basin to basin and from field to field. Brent API is typically 38 degrees which make it 'light' crude. The Wressle-1 well test said "The oil is of good quality with a gravity of 39-40o API". That make Wressle slightly lighter than Brent. The discount or premium to Brent is likely to be minimal assuming the sulphur content is also comparable. Wytch Farm (onshore) Dorset is slightly lighter at 41. If you want to read a REALLY good book that explains all this, try Oil 101 by Morgan Downey: hxxp://www.amazon.co | lageraemia | |
