01/5/2015 09:17 | Hi I posted this on UJO board but no reply.. anyway just curious to see what you guys have to say Cheers... which one out of edr and ujo is a better investment? i am in ujo but wondered if i should have gone for edr! I'll admit i have not fully researched - just wanted exposure to the wressle play. why would one stock be better than the other? | yajnas01
01/5/2015 09:10 | Jackall thanks for that, by I wondered if there was a note from VSA (like the note from Edison recently published)? The Edison note should now be available on Egdon's website or from the Edison website. | whackford
01/5/2015 08:29 | Any Good ??? | jackall
01/5/2015 07:36 | Mega - can you please give link to VSA note or post the whole thing? Thanks. | whackford
30/4/2015 19:47 | Still below director puchace price. Seems all directors putting theres into sipps and isas. | mega_trader
30/4/2015 12:52 | EDR just playing catch up with most other oilers? most up a 100%. OR some news building going on behind the scenes? Big volume a recent clue imo. Takeover? From VSA note "New players are entering this highly promising area, and small E&Ps have started consolidating to reach critical mass - eg EDR/ALK and IGas/Dart - thus enhancing asset values. We therefore view Egdon as a potential takeover target. We initiate coverage on Egdon with a BUY rating and 60p target, in line with our risked NAV" One of those companies that get overtaken by events OR taken over. So can you afford to be out? (eg UKOG) | mega_trader
30/4/2015 11:47 | ...this is no DC bounce. This could be a resurection! | gerhart
30/4/2015 11:44 | You need to look at the trades over the last few days - strange pattern - huge volume. | jusmasel99
30/4/2015 11:39 | Dead cat bounce? | joshuam
30/4/2015 11:21 | That's the thing Wilk there is no sign of a herd in relation to the way the price has move by this point today.....maybe large buy being filled? Not sure what overhang and there hasn't been a sharp sudden move on oil share price .. | gerhart
30/4/2015 11:11 | Oil price recovering, overhang cleared and once a price starts moving the herd join. Me for one !! | wilk1
30/4/2015 11:02 | Anyone any idea why we are moving....can't be these broker comments...never usually lead to swift adjustments....wonde | gerhart
29/4/2015 15:29 | Egdon’s conventional drilling campaign, which is set to restart later in the year with wells at Laughton, North Kelsey and Biscathorpe, in combination worth a potential 75p. Fracking a bonus, so worth more on top imo | mega_trader
29/4/2015 14:25 | Mega - my copy says: Core NAV/share = 10p Risked expected NAV/share = 30p Then there's the shale, if that's worth anything. | whackford
29/4/2015 11:54 | 75P NAV "Following three months of testing operations at Egdon’s Wressle discovery we view the find as moving towards commercial discovery status. Having successfully produced oil from four distinct zones, the well is to be placed on an extended pumped well test from mid-May. We now include Wressle in our core NAV for the company, which increases to 10.1p/share. Wressle represents a positive result for Egdon’s conventional drilling campaign, which is set to restart later in the year with wells at Laughton, North Kelsey and Biscathorpe, in combination worth a potential 75p (success case) to the company." | mega_trader
29/4/2015 11:02 | From Edison this morning: Wressle testing suggests a commercial discovery | dukedosh
21/4/2015 10:46 | Cash at bank as at 31 January 2015 of £6.51 million (cf 18m market cap at 8.15p). Exploration drilling activity will again be focused in Northern England during 2015-16 with exploration wells at Laughton, North Kelsey and Biscathorpe forming the next phase of our planned drilling programme. These exploration wells will target (net to Egdon) Best Estimate Prospective Resources of 10.8 million barrels of oil. We received planning approval for North Kelsey-1 in December 2014 and for Biscathorpe-2 in March 2015. All wells have restricted drilling windows under their respective planning conditions which mean that we currently expect to commence the next drilling programme in October 2015 starting with the Laughton-1 well. | ohisay
09/4/2015 17:01 | The interests sold were in licences offshore Isle of Wight and 10% of a small licence near Portsmouth. More relevant perhaps is that as far as I can see Egdon still have 38.4% of Holmwood in PEDL 143, which would seem to be the block west of PEDL 137 (Horse Hill). Holmwood is still battling its way through the planning process (there was a recent update from Europa). | rogerlin
09/4/2015 16:14 | Can't rid the echo there! | gerhart
09/4/2015 16:13 | We sold a 10% interest in Weald in Feb to UKOG. Not sure if related to today's area. Think there is an awful lot of non-understood inflated hype in today's UKOG announcement and resulting press coverage. Mind you, maybe I am just bitter because I wouldn't press the "button" when share price was at 1.75p first thing this morning! | gerhart
