Last mm on 61p now.

62p tomorrow imo, then the breakout and a good run up I'd say.

The share price has already increased 65% since trading update on 22nd January, and now that we have Slater Investment and Jim Slater taking major stakes at 60p level last month, this should put a good support under the share price

I truely expect the earnings to rocket on this one and therefore so should the share price.

Let the trend be your friend and buy on the dips if you can. EDD is a little gem of a stock with a large growth story unfolding.
Good luck all.

EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT INTERNATIONAL PLC

Shareholding in AEC Education plc

Education Development International plc ('EDI'), the leading provider of
educational qualifications and assessment services, announces that it has
acquired shares in AEC Education plc ('AEC') the Singapore based holding company
specialising in education services.

EDI has purchased 1,000,000 ordinary shares in AEC at a total cost of
GBP120,000 as part of a placing by AEC announced on 27 February 2009. This
brings EDI's total holding in AEC to 3,000,000 shares representing 11.2% of the
enlarged issued share capital. EDI's original holding of 2,000,000 shares was
taken as consideration for the sale of EDI's holding in Educational Resources
Pte Ltd ('ER') as announced on 3 December 2007 and 11 January 2008.

ER is wholly owned by AEC and is EDI's agent for the provision of marketing and
customer support services to schools and colleges in Asia which offer EDI's
range of LCCI international business qualifications. ER and EDI staff work
together closely on business development and operational activities.

LCCI International Qualifications have a strong position in the business
education market in South East Asia. EDI and AEC are currently reviewing options
for increased investment in joint market development activities through ER
including partnerships with government agencies in Malaysia, Hong Kong and
Guangzhou in southern China.

A number of buys this afternoon - tipped anywhere?

Last mm on 57p - due a bit of a gallop soon I'd have thought with this stronger market.

And now we have Slater Investment and J D Slater taking major stakes in the business, they must see the same potential as us. They always go for companies with growth at a resonable price (garp) and EDD certainly fit this criteria. My only surprise is that they didn't buy in earlier.

Well there's vastly increasing demand for EDD's products, retraing has rocketed lately. I saw an article in a magazine last week that well over two thirds of those being made redundant from larger companies get offered retraining - that's a huge rocketing number.

Reckon the directors will be saying they are ahead again by theier results

Sold this AM @ 61.15...couldn't see this going any higher for a while.. Have gone into BP with the procedes for now.. this should go up when (if?) market bounces up...

May go back into EDD when share price bottoms out and looks good again (won't be long to wait, imho)

Good luck all...

Penpoint as charlie says Wynford Dore was the founder of EDD. I met him at the EDD's AGM two years ago and I found him to be a very genuine guy. He announced his intention to step back from day to day involvement in EDD by resigning as a non exec director and to sell some of his shares in an RNS some time ago so no surprises there. We should be grateful that the business model that was born during the internet bubble and suffered like so many others is actually starting to do well now.

Er, Mr Dore was the founder of EDD!

Wynford Dore is IMO a bit of a dodgy character. He's well known in education circles as the creator of the so-called 'Dore Program' for dyslexia sufferers, a program wich costs a lot of money to enrol on, and which is to say the least highly controversial in it's outcomes.

The program became a worldwide business phenomenon until it crashed spectacularly last year - I wonder if Dore's share sales are to cover the financial liabilities of this?

As a shareholder I'm not very happy that he still owns a sizeable stake, and hope his connections otherwise with EDD are minimal to zero.

Where next ? will it continue to strengthen all the way to the next results in May ? shall I sell now or hold on ?....think I'll stick with it and see how it goes.

The fact that hes sold 4 million and the price is up, yet again, tells you where this is going IMO.

Is Mr Winford Dore a Director because he has sold today 2 lots of 2 million shares!!

reducing his holding by 4 million

does this mean that he thinks edd has reached its peak?
