results couldnt be better.strange that the price has been sagging in run up.obviously tight security.

Excellent results...cashflow is particularly pleasing.Their House Broker has already lifted expectations(I believe) following their previous trading statement so it is pleasing to read that they are confident about meeting the new forecasts..

Current year PE of 8.6 on that level of growth looks very cheap to me !

Certainly looks like results will disappoint based on share price performance over the last week - no one has even bothered to buy in....

Looking forward to losing loads of dosh in the morning..... sigh

Grim isn't it ? doesn't bode well for the morning. no strength in the share price at all.

If you are expecting the results to exceed "expectations" then they will be as expected.

Just the 2 days to wait:

Education Development International plc (EDI), the leading provider of

the six month period to 31 March 2007 on Thursday, 5 June 2008.

I think the interesting fact to consider is that the company have taken their time to find a suitable replacement. They have a competent accounts team. The interim results will hopefully confirm that everything has been and is running according to plan (otherwise we would have had an announcement by now). The new guys role will be to focus on looking at how the company can go forward and grow.

The company announced that its FD had left last year and they have been looking for a successor. They have found one and now he is about to start. Nothing strange about it.

A little step back on the share price this morning but with the results just over a week away now this share is like a coiled spring just about to continue it's upward momentum.....might get a mention in shares mag/IC this week to help it on it's way?

This announcement went unnoticed on the 16th May:

Paul Graham Bird has been appointed as Finance Director and will join the Company after a handover period with his successor to his current position at EG Solutions plc who has been appointed with effect from 19 May 2008.

But todays announcement confirms that he will be starting on the 1st June 08 and that the Interim Results will now be announced on the 5th June 08.

rcktmn the good thing about this share is that it has outperformed the FSTE by 100% over the last 12 months and is not an oilie or commodity stock. Nor is likely to be affected by a downturn in the economy and is cash generative. The number of shares that meet all those criteria seem to be few and far.
